Fantastic venue! Great sound and the atmosphere. Loved the stone walls. The Walkmen were fantastic! More Atmosphere: Value: Quality:

“Not a bad little pub. Went here for a couple of pints and some food before going to the Walkmen gig around the corner at the Village Underground. The burger and chips were tasty, filling & not bad value at just under a tenner. Wait at the bat was long at times. Would recommend as a good meeting place.”

“Frickin' awesome night, love it, cruised in off-chance on the way home for late drink and check out some beauty before bed and had a right laugh, the girls are a giggle - I love chillin' here.”

“Were these 'cock-tales' jokes supposed to be funny? Got a bit repetitive. This b@1 is alright for a chain though. Go here a lot with my girlfriends and it's always fun.”

“Probably my favourite London restaurant. They've never let me down. My wife and I went yesterday for our 21st anniversary and enjoyed every bite. Wonderful food, full of flavour and every plate is a balanced experience. The sourdough bread with slightly burnt crust and spongy inside is worth the visit on its own. Our favourite dishes come from the wood oven but everything is great.”

“This is the best Indian curry house in Tooting, which we all know is the best area of London for this type of cuisine (not Brick Lane, you know it's true!). The fact that the restaurant is ALWAYS full is as indication of the quality of the food. The menu is HUGE too so you will always find what you need. Had a massive meal with beers for 20 quid the other night. Plus, you can eat quite late if you want.”

Preem, Brick Lane (Restaurant)
“A very average affair. The "free beer or glass of wine" offer is not as great as it seems. The wine is vinegar and the beer is tiny. The sauces don't have as much spice as I would have hoped, leaving the flavours of the dishes little to be desired. There are much better curry house on Brick Lane than this one: like Sheba, for example.”

JJ Moons, Tooting (Bar)
“Sure, it's a Wetherspoons and sure it's full of slightly crusty looking old blokes but they're harmless and the beers are really cheap. Plus the range of beers is decent and the pub stays open until midnight during the week so if you fancy a late pint after you get off the tube....”

“I didn't eat in bar area (the restaurant instead is a must; excellent) but a stop off in the cocktail bar should always be on the cards prior to dinner. The staff behind the bar will chat to you about your likes and dislikes and I enjoyed going slightly off piste from the cocktail menu. They nailed it. The live piano player/singer also adds to the occasion. Sexy couples looking for romance, grab a stool at the bar.”

“Obviously the location is fabulous with near-perfect views of Tower Bridge, but it's the level of service that makes this French restaurant one of the best in London. Informative, relaxed, jovial, smart, quick, impeccable; everyone on the team at this restaurant is highly skilled at making the experience a complete one. The menu is not cheap but this is very much a special occasion restaurant. It would be perfect for couples celebrating a recent anniversary for example. That, and business dinners for client entertaining.”

Gordon's Wine Bar, West End (Bar)
“This is a wine bar for lovers. The amount of people I see snogging in the shadows down in the gritty, grimy, low-ceiling cellar only reinforces my faith in love in London. Grab a lovely bottle of red, snaffle a ramshackle wooden table in the cave, light a candle, and get smooching. First dates, blind dates, any kind of dates, it's all about the amour. Recommend grabbing a cheese platter too.”

“We went there last week for a leaving do and what was supposed to be a 2hours formal drinks became a proper party that ended at 3am. The place becomes a club later in the evening so we just went on and on, probably fuelled by the promotion they had on drinks beginning of the evening. Lovely place, nice, helpful staff (especially following day when I realised I had forgotten my jacket there). All in all a good night!”

“I celebrated my birthday at Adventure Bar Clapham last weekend and we simply had a blast! Great music, people, staff, cocktails, prices, you can't fault it. To crown it all, we were given a bottle of Prosecco for free. All my guests commented on how much fun they had and I would not hesitate to go back to Adventure for another fantastic night out.”

The Terrace, Knightsbridge (Bar / Restaurant / Hotel)
“This is a nice little hidden gem of an alfresco terrace. It's hidden behind all the posh shops of Motcomb Street, in amongst the Michelin Star restaurants (Zafferano and Petrus). It's therefore a nice, affordable alternative to the expensive restaurants in the area. The Terrace has its own BBQ as well so freshly cooked meat smells waft across the Terrace from noon until late. It needs a little work to make it look amazing but in terms value for money, it's well worth a trip. Especially for the Afternoon Tea.”

“Now that the huge beer garden is open out the back, this is easily the best bar/pub in Balham, if not the whole SW London area. Great ales, yummy food, quirky decor, sexy staff, friendly customers, cool events, and loads and loads of seating options. It doesn't get much better.”

“What a lovely, relaxing restaurant to eat, drink and work in during the day. A beautiful little alfresco square outside, some chilled out tunes, some authentic north African mint tea, and some filling tagines. And, free wifi! Love it.”
