2 adults + 2 children were met by a very frazzled waiter (of which we saw only 2). Chicken Wings with Jack Daniels glaze were undiscernibly different from plain chicken wings. Bronx Potato Skins were just... More Atmosphere: Value: Quality:

Gordon Ramsay The Savoy Grill, West End (Bar / Restaurant / Hotel)
“good evening, we today visited the savoy grill to celebrate my mother's birthday. we had a great welcome as entering your hotel and enjoyed champagne in the bar prior to going into the savoy grill. we found the staff within the grill less than accomodating, having dined in several Gordon Ramsey restaurants it became increasingly unpleasant. i ordered a dry white wine spritzer with soda and upon arrival the soda was flat i asked if this could be changed but was advised it was because i had ordered dry white wine, that soda does not remain fizzy!!!! i find that strange. we ordered our food, Mum wanted her rib eye rare to medium but was advised this was not possible it would have to be medium rare, the steak was too cooked for mum's taste, my partner asked for her liver to be medium rare but it was cooked more to well done palette.”

The Blues Kitchen, Camden (Bar)
“Three essential reasons to love this Camden bar: (1) the impressive array of bourbon (beers aren't even labelled so I wouldn't bother. Although a 'small' glass of Pinot Noir is massive; worth dabbling in); (2) top guitar-slashing music (a rockstar's heaven); unbelievably hot girls EVERYWHERE (if you like them with funky hair, tasteful tattoo, and tight jeans then this is the bar for you). The food? Meh.”

The Star of Kings, Kings Cross (Bar)
“This bar-cum-club is slightly out of the way but it's worth trekking to because it's quite the little find. I especially like the proper basement club feel downstairs with low ceilings and concrete floors. It feels like you could get up to all kinds of mischief and nobody would ever know. Maybe good for celebrities to hang out there then?”

The Big Chill House, Kings Cross (Bar / Restaurant / Club)
“This bar near King's Cross has just reopened after having an update. The refurbishment is pretty cool, although I'm not seeing too much change. The outdoor roof terrace is going to be very popular in the summer months though. Bring on the sun, bring on the media and charity sectors workers who love this place!”

Sappho Meze Bar, Clapham (Restaurant)
“Excellent evening at this friendly, rough-and-ready meze bar. Don't go if you're expecting an uber-cool 'dining experience'. Do go if you want great food at tiny prices, good wine, Keo beer and a friendly owner offering excellent service.”

The Pig and Whistle, Barnes & Sheen (Bar)
“These reviews are very old we brought the pub nearly 4 years ago, it is no longer the rough youth club that it was. we have refurbished inside and out and have very nice customers, I used to run the plough which is just up the road so a lot of our customers are from there both old and young. We have also inherited a lot of the Hare and Hounds customers. If you havn't been in for a while please just come in and see how different it is i'm sure you'll be pleasently supprised. The pool table has gone we have made a lovely seating area out the back. The food is all freshly made and we buy all our meat from chubbs the local butchers.”

“Myself and 6 friends ate at Talad Thai on Wednesday night. The two people who had the lamb dishes both felt bad the following day. The service was also pretty bad, the waitress was quite rude.”

Smith Square Bar & Restaurant, Westminster (Bar / Restaurant)
“I frequent Smith Square bar and restaurant quite often. I work near Westminster and find it a nice, quiet getaway from the streets packed with snap-happy tourists. There is a good selection of hot and cold drinks, and wine (but don’t tell the boss!). I don’t usually leave reviews but feel as Smith Square gives so much of its time to me I should do something nice in return! Oh, and there’s the added benefit of politician spotting. If you know or care who they are!”

Grand Union Kennington, Lambeth & Elephant & Castle (Bar / Restaurant / Club)
“Great location and roof garden, but there's only lager and cider on tap. And it's £4 for an average Fosters or Kronenbourg. The burgers don't come with chips, and are smaller than what's on offer elsewhere in Kennington. This pub is a good example of what's wrong with some modern pubs.”

“It's a shame that the food is not quite up to scratch at this restaurant because the location is a real find. Very dramatic yet welcoming. I love that nobody knows about it. I'll pop back for an afternoon tea next time I'm in the Westminster area.”

SOUK Clapham, Clapham (Bar / Club)
“Came here after hanging out in the park on the Sunday of the bank holiday weekend. we were given a couple of flyers that gave us free shots with our drinks. There were some other great deals on too. I expected Souk to be expensive because it looks like a very up market place but it was actually really reasonable with all these offers! There was a really great vibe and we ended up staying there till the end which was 4am! Most late night clubs and bars are really grimy but i loved this one! Apparently there similar nights for the Royal wedding bank holiday too...I will be there then for sure!”

JuJu Chelsea, Chelsea (Bar / Club)
“I went last Saturday with a few friends as hadn't been for ages and even though we had'nt booked a table we were really looked after. When the reserved tables guests did arrive we were really politely recommended a window seat to move to, which was actually better and we were walked to the table so i felt like a valued customer despite not booking a table of spending loads. In a world of minimum spends, this makes me want to go back to JuJu. I go to many bars and clubs and the minute i'm shunted off a table rudely or ignored at bar (when they KNOW you are there) I don't want to go back so this was refreshing especially in Kings road and with such a cool bar. Very impressed and will definately be going back and taking my friends!”

“I have to agree with Sumi, Zenna is a fantastic venue and a real treat for anyone who would stumble across it. Definitely great to reserve one of the alcoves on a busy night as you can escape the busy bar area. Definitely 10/10 all round especially for a fresh start up bar in Soho! The gorgeous manager at Zenna was a fantastic host.”

Prospect of Whitby, Whitechapel & Wapping (Bar)
“I do not want to write a bad review but i am afraid i must.We where looking forward to a nice Easter Sunday meal and i got a dry cottage pie, it looked like baby food my daughter had a burger and chips which did not look fresh.we think the 3 meals we had in all looked like they where heated in the microwave so not freshly prepared as advertised.we did not complain while we where there as the bar staff did not understand what i was ordering half the time and i am from London. We changed to a bigger table and there was plates left from a family who had just finished their lunch i asked the bar man if he could get someone to clear the table which he said he would but i am sorry to say he did not.We had to ask another memeber of staff. The Prospect of Whitby is such a lovely pub but i am afraid your staff and food are letting you down and it ruined our day.We had such high hopes of a lovely day and we walked away very disappointed.”
