“This is the ultimate in hangover hangouts, especially in the summer when you can sit outside. I love nothing more than nipping over the road to get a sunday paper then basking in the sun with a delicious breakfast (eggs benedict is great!) people watching and chilling out. The typically French restaurant has typically French waiters, they tend to be so relaxed they are almost waiting for you to serve them! Just what you need on a hangover - no one fussing around you, they just let you get on with it and stay at the table for as long as you want. Have been for dinner just the once and the food was great but I definitely recommend for breakfast or lunch! Have just remembered the burger and chips are yummy too!”

“Great pub for an after work glass of wine, they have so many different bottles on offer and I was pleased to find recently they have added one of my favourite South African whites. Gets busy upstairs quite early on thursdays/fridays but I much prefer it up there - especially if i can get a seat with my friends.”

“I prefer to sit downstairs when I visit this chinese dim sum restaurant, upstairs is light and airy but downstairs feels more exclusive and i love the huge fishtank that spans the width of the bar (if you get bored of your company that can keep you entertained for hours!) The food and wine can be expensive but it's totally worth it. I love the venison puffs, spicy soft shell crab, mushroom dumplings and ginger martinis! the waiting staff are so professional and really attentive. Great London restaurant & bar to go after work.”

“I love this restaurant especially at lunch time, it's a great place to take clients to for a quick coffee and slice of cake. The customers in there tend to be quite quirky, lots of people working with one of Yumchaa's delicious teas. My favourite is Red Christmas, it's smells and looks delicious and it's so cheap in there to. A real good find.”

“Great place for food in the daytime/early eve! Lovely atmosphere, amazing decor - really swanky and something special on Clapham High Street. Sadly there are not enough tables for food now that it's become cold - the outside area is pretty much done in now with the cold weather, and there are not enough proper tables to have food on inside, as they're usually reserved or booked up - sort it out Aquum!”

“This restaurant is one of the best value for money curry places in Tooting. The dosas are lovely for a starter and their mutton curry really good. However, I must say that the most moresish thing they serve are their rotis - I have never had any better and went friends and I would go we'd always order twice as many than we intended too! Delicious. All in all, recommended for a tasty, cheap meal!”

“Went to the 55 bar for the NYE, paid £20 to get in and was very very disappointed!! It was just a normal night in a normal club... 5 minutes before midnight the atmosphere was still dead (due too the lack of music), people still sitting and no one on the dancefloor... Midnight passed , alcohol helping, the place got a bit merrier, finally.... 02:00 am the barmen, too busy chatting to the girls, couldn't be asked anymore to serve the customer and were just switching from a loosy music to an other on their computer!! It was all about them having fun rather than keeping a good atmosphere till 03:00. It took my mate 35 mins to get a drink at the bar upstairs...could do better surely. The music was not good at all and the dancefloor was getting empty very quickly. Fair enough cocktails were good, but on a NYE I was expecting a bit more. We were 10 of us on that night, well we'll never go back there.”

Altitude 360, Westminster (Bar / Restaurant)
“At the cost of £310 for two tickets, my girlfriend and I chose to spend our New Year’s Eve at Altitude 360; after all there were all these great reviews here on the internet and we thought we’d treat ourselves. Yes the view is great, but long before the midnight hour arrived, the windows steamed up completely and very little of the fireworks could be seen, which was the whole point of being there. Even constant wiping with anything to hand resulted in immediate re-fogging. The building, which was obviously built as an office, had not been sufficiently upgraded to include heavy duty air-conditioning that could cope with 600 respirating punters. The décor was towards the low-budget chav-tastic end, and barely covers what is a quick, ‘paint it all white’, office-floor conversion. The staff utilisation and placement was woefully bad: · What little the ticket price covered in the way of food and drink was swamped in queues of people trying to get them. The champagne that was promised was carver! · There was no metal detection, no screening, no frisking or patting down on entrance which, considering how close we were to the Houses of Parliament on the night of a very popular western celebration, was a risk. · The ?bars? where drink was served were temporary bars and therefore added to the general inadequacies shown by the staff. On occasion, the queue was 13 deep. The staff?s experience and dexterity in handling the orders was redolent of a 1950s Wome”

“I have been to this bar on many occasions and it is by far my favourite bar in London. During the week they host poker games which has a strong following. You always see four huge tables of guys and gals playing there. They also show near enough every football match going and always have a good crowd in for those.”

“Spent an excellent NYE at the Goldhawk. The pub was busy but not over crowded and they played the best tunes i've heard in a boozer for ages. Don't recall leaving, but my girlfriend said it was sometime after 2pm. Lovely pub!”

“I went to Haz for the first time last week and was pleasantly impressed with the food. It wasn't very busy, but we put that down to it being a Tuesday night after christmas. However the sleek interior and delicious food which was surprisingly reasonably priced meant that I would def go back and recommend others trying this Turkish/Arabic restaurant.”

“My friend and I went here for a special occasion recently and while it was nice, I have to say the vegetable dumplings should be avoided at all costs. They weren't the gyoza-esque bites we were expecting rather more like dough balls gone wrong. But other than that the food is pretty good, and the atmosphere fantastic.”

“While the food was amazing - (i would certainly go back for the crab linguine which was divine and the chocolate fondant which was delish), the service was not. It's a pricey restaurant and for that i expect great food and even greater service. Apart from messing up my friend's main course by bringing the wrong dish out, the waiter decided to clean the table's crumbs straight onto our laps. why he did this we will never know as the restuarant clearly has one of those 'fancy'' crumb sweepers but he did and it annoyed us no end. The crowd is also a little stuffy which is a shame because the food is something i'd want to go back for.”
