The service is prompt and friendly, you're never kept waiting at the door for someone to seat you. But what really did it for me was their flexibility. They have charts for people with allergies (such... More Atmosphere: Value: Quality:

Viva Viva, Crouch End (Bar / Restaurant)
“What a cracking place! We wanted to find somewhere that did more than just food and luckily we found this absolute gem! The food was absolutely wonderful and the service too. The drinks, though a little bit pricey are off-set by the fact that it's absolutely free to get into and you can watch great world acts like at The Jazz Cafe but without being charged to get in. How good is that!! We got in at 8pm and stayed till about 2pm. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be going back! Well done Viva Viva. You are an absolute star!”

“Excellent Restaurant. Food delicious, atmosphere fantastic and the service was great. All of these are essential for a great and memorable night out. I would highly recommend Christopher's for a special occasion and the cocktails in the bar downstairs are delicious so don't be surprised if you start in the bar and then finish in the bar after a delicious meal upstairs.”

Los Toreros, Crystal Palace & Norwood (Restaurant)
“I have been here several times. The interior is a surprise, the staff are friendly, the food is fresh and tasty, the cocktails are wonderful. I have been to their Flamenco Evenings and they have live music on Friday nights. I know there is a Cabaret Lunch with Dave Lynn on 27th July 2008 which my friends and I are really looking forward to going to.”

Auberge (Woking), none (Bar / Restaurant)
“Great little bar/restaurant ('Auberge' even!). Very convenient for the New Victoria Theatre, or Cinema complex. Regular reasonably priced menu, with daily specials. I always eat there before a show, and it's always good :-) You might even spot a celeb' there occasionally (even actors have to eat sometime!).”

The Lock Dining Bar and Restaurant, Tottenham (Bar / Restaurant)
“Visited this restaurant a number of times and each time have been more disappointed than the last. The menu offers little variety and the dishes are pricey. The staff show little interest in their clientele and they are often not open past 9pm - which is in stark contrast to their advertised opening times. Would not recommend this restaurant at all.”

“V. disappointing - queued up for about 20mins, 5 girls, well dressed, late 20s, confirmed on guest list. One problem we got to the door to be greeted with a self-satisfied smirk from the doorgirl (I hesitate to call her a hostess, as in my opinion they normally have some semblance of manners) and to be told that we had been refused entry on the "Managers Discretion". So. I suggest, as I will, that you take your money elsewhere! ”

“London has a lot to offer and Loungelover is probably one of the best of its offerings. Simply wonderful to spend the hours away here. Before you know it's time to leave. Loungelover seems to attract a wide cross section of clients. The clients are as varied as the styles of furniture here. This venues is a true depiction of London as it's really cosmopolitan. Each time i have been i meet people from all over and they are really friendly. All my friends are always up for meeting up there.”

The Rivers Edge, Hampton & Teddington (Bar / Restaurant / Hotel)
“The location was brilliant, but avoid if you also dislike smug poorly trained staff and over priced food. We had to ask staff for menus. We were brought warm juices, and had to wait a good 15mins for more ice. We were given our food. But no cutlery and had to wait whilst our food got cold. When we mentioned this we were asked sarcastically whether we wanted our food heated up. My mothers pasta was swimming in oil. They just said 'it comes like that.' No suggestion to swap the dish for something else. We asked for bread to help my mum absorb the oil. Again waited 15mins for it, and then they charged us for it. My brothers creamy pepper corn sauce was like gravy. Our bill had wine on it that we didn't order. Overall, appalling... bar the riverside view.”

Ego, Crystal Palace & Norwood (Bar)
“Ego/Southern Pride. Well i can only agree, great venue. Started the evening off with a little Jason Prince Karaoke, and then after a few drinks and a great atmosphere the time flew and just after 11pm the club 'Ego' at the rear of the building opened up! Great staff and a friendly happy scene set the night out to be a great one! Dj Markie playing loads of new and classic trax and fun had by all on the dancefloor! When it gets a little hot there's a huge garden at the rear with a covered over seating area, also a bonus for us smokers! Friday nights are great, i sure will be there again very soon may even have to make it a Friday thing! Its good to have a pleasant change now and again. I totally recommend this bar & Club! Even if you've not been recently or never been give it a try! There's even food on offer before they close everything that makes a good night out all in one place!”

“Where do i start! After being greeted at the door by a pompous, arrogant and just down right rude man, we were squeezed into a tiny table with barely enough room to breath, after waiting for twenty minutes to be even acknowledged we ordered, another 45 minutes later our food came out at fifteen minute intervals and was dumped on the table. Though the food wasn't too bad it wasn't great either, and cold, some undercooked! I visited this place around the same time last year and was fed some amazing fish cakes, and a delicious Duck salad, I am assuming that the kitchen staff has changed since then, and none the less for the worse. If i could give this place a negative rating I would. Avoid at all costs!”

“Studio Valbonne was awful - dont go! The rude door lady refused half of our party entry! This led to the rest of the party having to leave the club despite them already paying - and led to the birthday girl in floods of tears!!!”

“Loungelover is possibly the best bar ever. Everything about it is perfect. The staff are really friendly and accommodating. The food and drinks are well executed. The interiors are mind blowing and you feel that you are in your friends lounge as its so unpretentious even though its so decadent and beautiful. Loungelover gets top marks from me as its a truly amazing venue.”

Loungelover, Shoreditch (Bar)
“The best thing about Loungelover is that its truly unique. It attracts all walks of life who enjoy the decadence and fun factor that it does so well. The cocktails are truly inspirational and it probably will not attract the All Bar One crowd as there isn't much on the list to please them. The whole place just exudes a understated air of sophistication without shoving it in your face like many places that try too hard. Its the kind of place if you understand it, you fall under its spell. How can you not when all the right ingredients are there. Great drinks, friendly helpful staff, yummy food and best of all the incredible interiors that so many had tried to plagarise unsuccessfully. Loungelover remains my all time favourite place to visit.”
