“I have been going as long ago as David Constable's review some 8+ years ago. There have been ownership changes, management and staff changes and menu changes but Sticky's never changes. The standard of food, drink selection, ambience and speed, proficiency and the frendly service provided by staff has never changed. Many good nights (and a few good lunchtimes) had here, never had a bad one and, God willing, a good few to follow.”

“I was in the neighbourhood recently so popped in for a few hours. I may have picked a bad night to review as business seemed slow. The girls were all pretty but seemed to lack enthusiasm on the main stage. They weren’t very pushy when they were offering private dances and again seemed to just want the night to end, which it did rather abruptly. The Griffin closes at midnight, unlike similar venues close by, and most of the customers just walked out at about a quarter to twelve. This just left me and one other punter to watch the final dance of the night, so we both took pity on her and told her she needn’t bother, so she gave us our pounds back! At some point during the evening I received an old paper £10 with Charles Darwin on the back in my change. I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say it was an honest mistake and that they weren’t taking advantage of the fact that I was distracted by a girl that had just taken to the stage, but bear it in mind if you visit. All in all, there are better venues nearby which stay open later: they charge less for a beer but more for a private dance, so it’s swings and roundabouts. I won’t be going out of my way to go back, but if I’m in the area again with some free time and spare cash, I might pop in to give it a second chance.”

“Dreadful pub, run by people who have zero idea about hospitality or running a pub. Upon arrival we sat in the back garden that only had one other table occupied , when we tried to order off the lunch menu we were told we could only have something off the garden menu, I explained we only wanted Mezze between the 2 of us, the bar man/manager said we had to sit indoors on the 'restaurant tables' . Even though I pointed out the pub was 90% empty and the garden only had 3 people on one table he insisted we had to sit indoors - It was utterly ridiculous, the food arrived on one big plate, tiny portion of what I can only describe as a complete rip off. The waitress gave us no side plates to eat from and never once came to the table . Frankly its a badly run soulless place that I would never recommend ”

Bouncers tonight should learn English and retrain in Tesco shell filling first. Why taking lesson in communication skills. They should be fired instantly. Pls do not think of spending your precious time and money on this place. ”
