Village Soho 81 Wardour Street, Soho, London, W1D 6QD (Map)

This is the worst place in London to go. Toilets with graffiti about lesbians!! Cheap offers and cheap service!! Disgusted! All I ask for is a place with OK service, a bit of air con, and door staff that... More Atmosphere: Value: Quality:

“Ok I love Ku bar! The staff are really friendly and I always get on with the manager there. He kinda flirts with me but I just think he is doing his job so don't take any notice. I love the atmosphere and always get hot guys talking to me, lol.”

“I go here often as I like the atmosphere, last night there was not good as the guy who appeared to be the manager was very rude, the customer in front of me took a bit long to decide what to order and the manager was clearly very impatient, I then asked for red wine, he just looked at me and said, red what? I said again red wine, he looked even more annoyed now and said, what bottle, glass? He was really unpleasant. I really like the place and I have been going there ever since it opened years back. Shame this guy has to spoil it all!”

The Pottery, Kingston (Bar / Restaurant)
“I like the venue and its decor and try to support local businesses where possible. I enjoy the interesting approach that the Pottery has on 'tapas' - it's not necessarily 'traditional' Spanish, but this is fine. I do have an issue with the bread though. I do feel that the Pottery is busy and popular enough, with a good turnover, to now have fresh bread, not the frozen baquettes that you would only use in emergencies. God forbid if you ask for more bread without planning or announcing it at the start of the ordering as you will then have to wait up to 15 minutes to get it - perhaps too late as you may be expecting to order dessert by then.”

“Why couldn't you give an option for six stars? If you had this place would have got 6 from me - five doesn't quite express it! It's crazy. Came here with a friend, quite busy but great vibe. Love the propaganda and I'm not even a vegetable. i mean a vegetarian.”

“If you're looking for a night where the can-can kicks could take an eye out and the burlesque dancers skirts are hitched way above their draws, then this is your night. I must admit, I was skeptical before going, reluctantly being dragged downstairs to what seemed like a 1950s speak easy, but within minutes i was intoxicated by the music, all round vibrant energy of the place and exceptional menu. A must! You would be a fool to miss out...”

Imbibe, Borough & Southwark (Bar)
“Our offices are just a short walk away from Imbibe and with such a great food & drink menu on offer, Imbibe is definitely the pub of choice for our staff for a Friday lunch time treat. It therefore seemed fitting that we would hold our Ministry of Sound office summer party there, which turned out to be a brilliant evening! From start to finish Imbibe helped us no end with the planning and organising. The food, service and atmosphere were all fantastic. We started off the evening mingling in their picturesque beer garden nibbling on the delights from the BBQ and spent the rest of the night dancing away to our DJs in the bar! The whole night went perfectly and everyone enjoyed themselves, even the bar staff were busting a few moves whilst serving our favourite tipples! Without hesistation we would definitely book with Imbibe for future events! Thanks again to all at Imbibe xx”

“I recently met a friend at Imbibe for a drink and bite to eat after work, it was 2 mins from the tube. The bar was quiet, but I suppose it was Wednesday but it had a beautiful garden where we sat and enjoyed cocktails and a nice bottle of wine. The food was fab, the staff really friendly. Had a lovely evening and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.”

Wellington Club, Knightsbridge (Bar / Club)
“I've been travelling all around, and so far The Wellington Club in London is by far the best club. The interior is one of a kind, is so inspirationial and so cool! Well done to Phil Harding. The staff, doormen etc are professional and very kind, always ready to fulfil your needs. It feels like at home the way they all treat you. This club is just unique, exceptional! Always meet interesting and cool people, no flashy and boring people, it is all about personalities and characters and this is what it is so great about it! You don't need to be a big spender to be treated good! And nowdays it's impossible to find a place like this. The owners Jake and Christian are so entertaining and so much fun, they are so loving and respected people, it would not be the same without them being there all the time together with the Tintin-al Saad. Jake is a legend, himself a celebrity in his own. The Club is his stage and he enjjoys seeing people happy and brings them so much laughter. All together the team have created something great and so unique. Long Live to The Wellington!”

“Such a fun place to go on a night out! I have been several times for both the food and entertainment and have enjoyed each experience. They have so many different acts that no matter how many times you go back it all feels so new and exciting. The food is lovely ( I really recommend the pavolova) and the entertainment is fantastic. Such a well thought out venue - great place!”

“What a find so close to the main shopping area of Oxford Street. Forget all those mediocre chain restaurants and fast food joints close by. This is a much more relaxed affair. If it's sunny, the outdoor pavement seating is ideal for people-watching (a beautiful area architecturally too) and if it's not so sunny, there's plenty of room inside where the frescos and innate sense of artistic appreciation is quite evident. As for the food and service. Top notch in both cases. The staff are super friendly and like to have a bit of laugh with everyone and the food portions are enormous (two courses will suffice). I recommend the Gamberoni if you're like me and like a bit of spice with your seafood.”

The Phene, Chelsea (Bar / Restaurant)
“Amazing!! Stunning gardens, ridiculously cool interiors, very pretty girls and boys! A proper Chelsea hang out spot for day times and pre-club drinks. Not open very late as in a really residential area but such a cool spot. I am 100% going back next weekend, might even take my boyfriend this week for after work drinks - they do great sharing platters and pretty simple but seriously tasty food - I had a yummy red pepper and tomato risotto and slice of gluten free choccie cake from the deli - had this increddddible orange icing - so good! I wish I knew how it was made!! The deli bit is really cool - sandwiches and chocolate bars and yoghurt-covered edamame beans (sounds weird but soo good! They taste just like roasted peanuts as the edamames are dried but healthier than nuts!!) to take away or eat in as well as hams and olive oils and cheeses.. the lot! really cool space with huge tv screen and candles everywhere. The bar is more typically pubby but designed in a super slick way with lots of funky books and lights behind the bar and big red leather banquettes all round the outside. The same people own Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club and they have these goorgeous little red silk lamps around the outside, a bit like they do in Ronnie's Bar. The garden is the best feature hopefully more good weather on its way to seriously enjoy hanging out there but apparently not even much of an issue as they've got these great big heaters which should mean once it does get that bit chillier we can still hang out in this area whithout freezing our nuts off!! Definitely worth a visit.. service a bit slow side but they have just opened so its to be expected really.. and its such a cool place to sit you dont really care they gave us a huge Scrabble board to play upstairs in the lounge so we werent bothered by the wait at all!!) Felt like a members club or something!”

“The milkshakes are pretty much all that's going for this place. The service is crap, tried to book a table for a large group of us, was told we couldn't, then rocked up and found out other people had been able to - so all of the good tables were gone. The food is service station standard and one of our group didn't even get their meal and after mentioning it three times, didn't to cancel it in the end. It's a shame because it would be great to have a ddectn 50s diner in the area.”

Quinn's, Camden (Bar)
“This pub is one of my locals and although it's normally quite empty and the decor looks like something from the 70s, I really like it. There's a brilliant choice of German Weissbeers, Leffe on tap and the oldest and slowestg man I've ever seen serving behind the bar. One of the things that give this place it's charm.”

“It's one of the best chain restaurants I've been to in the area. Loads better than the Leicester Square Spaghetti House too, which is quite poor on all fronts. The staff were all very friendly and happy to answer any questions/recommend dishes. Try the cheese and bread starter, it's lovely. And the prawn linguine, delicious. I'd head back here again if I was looking for a quick place to eat after work with friends.”

“Whilst the food here was OK, my dining partner ordered a calzone which was a very poor excuse for a pizza with no explanation or apology as to why the pizza resembled a stuffed crust rather than a true calzone folded pizza. The service was poor and we were left with plates on our table for a good fifteen minutes after we had finished eating. We had to ask twice for the bill after we finally got the attention of one of the staff and were then hounded down after we chose not to pay the discretionary service charge. I wouldnt recommend this restaurant to anyone.”
