“it's the best grilled lamb I have ever eaten in London; the mezze's are better than my mum's, the staff are so friendly; especially Reza, erman and suleyman! I have to make a comment on the mojito and the northern lights; they are yummy, I had my birthday party of 40 people and it was a fantastic time for everyone, I would highly recommend.”

Dishoom, West End (Restaurant)
“dishoom was a big disappointment, we had a booking for 2 and we had to wait 2 hours for our table. We should have just left knowing that the food was not going to be as great as it claims to be. Our server was over stretched managing a number of tables so again we had to wait to be served. Our mains arrived before starters and drinks just arrived as we ordered our tea. The food wasn't exceptional- cold starters. Complete disorganization. The evening was nothing but a big let down, Dishoom is a indian restaurant trying to claim west end prestige but better off being located on your high street- at least with high street restaurants you know what to expect”

“A great Spanish beer I had never had before, Estrella Galicia, two top Mojitos at Happy Hour for under £7 and some lovely tapas - chorizo croquettes and tempura prawns - inexpensive and good ambience, but gets busy”

Lisboa Grill, Brixton (Restaurant)
“The food i have to admit is quite tasty, but if you expect to pop in and pick up a takeaway quickly you will be very dissapointed, i only ever have half a chicken and chips and i waited about 5minutes (today) to be served(there were no other customers waiting to order) and then about another 15-20mins before it was ready. The guys that work there look like they cant wait to finish, the guy that takes payment is constantly eating chips and ive never seen any of them wash there hands which has made me doubt my choice of eating place! Anyway enough moaning, but i would sum this takeaway as tasty food, very rude staff with a cant be arsed attitude, long waiting time and rather unhygenic!”

Odette's, Swiss Cottage & Primrose Hill (Restaurant)
“A nice room, but we should have left when the manager refused to turn down the (bad) dance music he was playing. Amuse-bouche and starters were fine, but £18 for a tiny square of polenta as a main course was insulting, and the rabbit was a small handful of meat, indifferently cooked - too little for a starter and a joke as a £20 main. We left so hungry we had to go to a second restaurant.
This place clearly thinks it should have a Michelin star. I felt robbed.”

“The ONLY good pub in Pimlico in my opinion. This place is friendly and fun. The bar staff are definitely enjoying themselves, which makes for a fantastic atmosphere. It's welcoming and, at best, a mixture of traditional, cosy, English pub with a lively, eclectic party feel.”

Egg London, Kings Cross (Bar / Club)
“The Egg is a club for serious clubbers. The music is always sick with a wicked line up of DJs and different clubnights. I've always been a fan of big warehouse style clubs and the Egg does not disappoint. Plus the garden is something really special. I love the Egg!”

Egg London, Kings Cross (Bar / Club)
“Egg is the most eccentric super club in London! They have their finger firmly squeezed on the pulse of London, they always book creatively and help steer fresh music towards bigger audiences, bridging the gap between the underground and the commercial. For a super-sized club it still manages to create the friendly atmosphere of a smaller boutique style venue but surpasses all the Shoreditch haunts when it comes to sound, vision and late night raving! I'm a big fan of it's openly polysexual door policy, and its great track record on nurturing young talents from fashion, design and music. With it's position at the foothills of the new developments in Kings Cross i'm certain the Egg will be the club of choice for the next generation.”

Grand Union Wandsworth, Wandsworth (Bar / Restaurant / Club)
“Very Poor. When we ordered our drinks, 2 of them were ciders. They were presented with ice. When we asked for the ice to be removed, the barmaid looked at us with complete disdain. We tried to make light of the moment but she just smirked at her colleague.
After ordering we waited over 30 minutes for the food to arrive. After it arrived the burgers (all 5) were barely warm. We bmentioned this to the staff, upon which all they could say "it was cooked fresh". Please tell me what that means....
Overall, for a burger that costs close on £10 I expect better service. For a pub, I expect them to ask if I want ice in a pint. After all, when they took the ice out I was left with 3/4 of a pint. Good for the bar, poor for the customer.
May I add this is not the 1st time we have been here. It is a 5 minute walk from home & we thought we would give it the benefit of the doubt. Alas they failed again.”

“Was interesting that I was eating in a "Michelin Star" chefs restaurant 1st for me but I digress The food was certainly worth the money but am afraid with the current food trends going towards a Gasto Pub style this would be more like the 80's where you get a tomato rose and a sprig of parsley and think WOW, am afraid the cullinary world has moved on.”

Tikino, Camden (Restaurant)
“If you are looking for a restaurant that gives you the absolute best of everything, visit Tikino. This is a restaurant that allows you to be yourself, eat to your heart's content and enjoy paying because it was worth it all.
I keep going back because there is no other restaurant that gives you a 5 star rating in every area. The atmostphere is great, what you pay for what you eat is unbelievably reasonable and the staff is second to none! They are just fantastic!!!
Come see and taste for yourself and you'll realise that your reveiw will be the same as mine or even better.”
