Really nice bar, good attentive staff, excellent food however wear something warm as the heating goes off before 10pm yet the bar is open to midnight. Had to leave much earlier than intended with my friends... More Atmosphere: Value: Quality:

“I've just organised my birthday party in this pub (last Saturday) and everybody agreed it was an absolutely fantastic venue. Not only is the back room absolutely HUGE with enough space for a DJ table, a big dance floor and about 6 sofas but there is also a semi-separated dinner room with view on the "dance floor" and two doors to the heated back garden for smokers. I had about 50 guests from a lot of different nationalities, but mostly French, so possibly picky on the food, and they all thought the food was amazing and were surprised by the good deal offered to us by the manager (around £16 for a 3-courses meal !!) The staff was fantastic too, before the event (when organising) as much as during the event: available, really really nice, reliable and very helpful (even after closing time, 1:30 pm, when unfortunately one of my friends had a bit too much alcohol…). Also, because it is not on the High Street, it is very easy to park all around and although a bit far from the tube station, the 337 and 430 buses stops just at the front. So in a Nutshell: This venue is fantastic for parties and some of my guests are already talking about organising their own parties there very soon.”

“After attending a function in Earl's court we've decided to try the pembroke in earl's court and we have to say it was a disgrace due the arrogance of some members of staff. they have a lot to improve.”

“Nice pub in the Ladbroke Grove area. They've done it up well and clientele reflect this. But, the toilets weren't the best...”

“Sure the waiters are a bit curt with everyone but if your restaurant was as busy and popular as this one every day of the week you'd need to be on your toes. There's one reason and one reason for coming here: the food. A true classic, a must-do for any Indian food lover. I recommend the korma.”

“Quite an astonishing change to what this bar was before. They must've spent a packet on the redesign. It's full-on Pacificana. Great cocktail selection and they really go to town on the showmanship. An obvious magnet for IT girls and guys alike. And maybe the odd celebrity. Tunes are a bit cheesey though.”

“Excellent food in a very cool setting. Seating is at a premium pretty much all of the time so I suggest taking a trip downstairs to the bright refurbished dining room. A tad on the expensive treat but a true off-the-beaten-track treat.”

“OK so it might be a bit on the quiet side and it might be in an area of town that isn't the easiest to get to but my goodness what a cool restaurant. The great canal setting makes for a perfect summer restaurant and the Dim Sum is phenomenal. And so cheap too!”

“I recently visited this place on a casual date and have to say I was really impressed. The food was delicious, the atmosphere lively (but intimate) and it was all topped off with possibly the friendliest staff this side of the river. They are attentive but not in your face constantly and helpful with menu suggestions etc. While the venue's moody lighting teamed with candles on every table sets a nice atmosphere. I'd certainly go back.”

“A large group went here for a colleagues leaving doo, and I have to say it was possibly one of the worst places I have ever been to. The drinks were hugely over priced and changed everytime we went up to the bar. The food was again a waste of money, as a group of 20 we ordered enough for everyone or so we thought, when it came up there was hardly any food on the plate! Finally the atmosphere was dull, not lively at all. Overall a waste of money and a rubbish night, we left after just over 1 hour. I would not recommend anyone to go here if you are looking for a good night.”

“We visited this restaurant early on a Friday evening having booked a table for two. Having not visited the area before, our decision was based on good reviews of the food & service...how disappointing! The food was ok but the service was less than professional...the wrong wine was brought to the table with no explanation...the main course arrived before the starters...when the starter arrived it was wrong and to cap it all off after having the table for 50 minutes (not an excessive amount of time) we were asked to vacate the table. All in all not a pleasurable experience and I will certainly not be visiting again.”

“My fiance' and I enjoyed a lovely evening in Christopher's after seeing a play which was located just around the corner. The cocktail bar ambiance was welcoming and romantic; perfect for one last nightcap in the city. The cocktail menu was full of weird and wonderful concoctions that you will be sure to find something that takes your fancy. The feel of this place oozes class, and makes you forget the bustling city is taking place just outside. This is the second time we have spent a relaxing evening in Christopher's; one that has never let us down.”

“Loads of sating options, plus the inside is nice and airy and bright. The wall of clocks feature is cool too. The outside section gets hit hard during the warmer months as a good vantage point for people watching along Northcote Road. A place to be seen for the beautiful people. Decent grub too.”

“Since Grand Union took over this place it's hard to recognise it. It's all plush leather and fancy lighting now. Fantastic. Especially The Snug bit at the back. Nobody will find you in there. The burgers are pretty decent too. And the prices aren't astronomical. A nice little hideaway in Camberwell.”

“Great cheap food (especially the lunches), good wifi, and the smallest toilets in the world. Nice little beer garden for the summer. Can sometimes get overrun with yummy mummies, which is great if you're a yummy mummy. Not much competition in the area aside from the Leather Bottle really.”
