I dine with my fiance at Feng Shang Princess Boat Restaurant on the canal, the restaurant was very very romantic and the food is fantastic. Must try. More Atmosphere: Value: Quality:

“This is the kind of place where not only does the owner's cat sit happily on the bar, but they go as far as to dress it in a cat-sized Elizabethan ruff. Very fine bar indeed.”

Anchor Bankside, Borough & Southwark (Bar)
“I must wholeheartedly agree with the review. I'm 35 now, and been going to The Anchor on and off over the last 17 years. It used to have so much charm, but now it's just so sterile and a complete tourist trap. Service is poor at best, averaging at rude, and it's overfull of tourists and daytrippers who have read about The Anchor in the plethora of tourist guides on London. If you can get a seat outside (and that's a big if), it's pleasant to have the Thames floating by, however, the volume of the other drinkers is sure to deafen you, the behaviour of the other drinkers will probably disgust you. As for their food.........stick to the ale (of which the selection has diminished and dwindled over the years).”

“It's a real find! The Martini bar is cool with an amazing range of different martinis on offer. Then we went upstairs for a pre-theatre dinner and it was so much better than we expected! The service was great - not too fussy but really attentive. The menu was varied - even the set menu - and the food was top quality and beautifully presented. We're definitely going back!!”

“I miss it! I worked at the Camden Head for 3 months, Christmas 2001 (or maybe 02 - it was a drunken work holiday!) Am looking for our former customers/colleagues/friends... Saul, Ants, Paul, Andy, Justin.... is anyone out there???”

The Little French Restaurant, Kensington (Restaurant)
“We have just returned from our second night at the little French restaurant. Last night was not only brilliant from the food and service aspect but we were given a free liqueur as a compensation for mussels not being available as a starter. So you can only imagine our disappointment after our experience this evening. We asked yesterday for our wine to be put on ice at 7pm. Having booked our table for 7.45pm. Our wine was not on ice nor was it even in the fridge when we arrived!!!! When my husband asked why this was the case, not only was the question ignored but they subsequently ignored us for the rest of the evening. The waitress was equally blasé and unhelpful. The only reason we stayed was we had just finished working a twelve hour shift and were in no mood to search for another place to eat. After an initial good impression. This is really a bad place to eat the service is inconsistent and the food is mediocre. One tip the pub opposite is good do try it.”

Bar Social, Clapham (Bar / Restaurant / Club)
“Extremely friendly bar with a huge range of bottled beers. Staff willing to take new suggestions for beers. Much bigger than it look from the outside due to a basement and mezzanine level in the main bar. Make sure you check out the huge range of spirits also. A truly excellent bar.”

Ranoush Juice Bar, Paddington (Bar / Restaurant)
“The rudest restaurant/cafe I have ever been to. The staff made no effort to serve; everything we asked for was unavailable and no waitresses or waiters came to attend to us so we had to go to the till. When we asked for the menu from the guy at the till it was liked we were asking for a gun! No smiles, just a smirk. It made my parents from out of town feel very uncomfortable. We ordered and then just really had to leave! In a word, RUDE!”

“Superb restaurant in Covent Garden serving the most delicious contemporary American food in beautiful surroundings. You go up a candlelit sweeping stone spiral staircase to enter the restaurant, it's all so romantic and elegant without being pretentious or snooty. Staff are warm and friendly, efficient, attentive and knowledgeable. The food is incredibly good, particularly the steak, and there's a funky cocktail bar downstairs too.”

“This is a great bar that I use regularly for both lunch and afterwork drinks and functions. Their outside area is fantastic as it is one of the only ones that I know that still catches the sun after work! The reservation team is great for bookings and the service is always friendly.”

“Not a local but I get down here once every few months to see mates. If I could afford Fulham I would move there just for this pub! Always has a good feel to it. Good beer, good food and great eye candy. Fulham prices but it does attract a better class of customer. Love it.”

“Just awesome really. Riverside location with some of the best views in London. Drank outside until the sun went in and then sat in their upstairs bar with panoramic views of the river. I think the pub has been done up great (never realised it was so historic!). Good selection of food on the menu and given the quality of the food and location of the pub we all thought it was awesome value. Looking forward to returning this weekend.”

“These guys have done a fantastic job on refurbing this pub. While I didn't mind the old boozer it was small, dark, dirty, smelly and in a real state of dis-repair (I guess some people would call that character!). They have kept many of the original features and I think have succeeded in maintaining the charm and history of the pub(it dates from 1722. There are some wonderful old pictures of it on display). They have also opened a second floor with fantastic views over the river. Its family run so the staff are very pleasant and keen to help. Spoke to the new owner who has a genuine affection for his pub. Good selection of Beer and everyone in my group thought the food was great(would never have eaten here before). We will be back. Well done!”

Edwards, Wimbledon (Bar)
“I think Edwards is great.... The service is friendly and quick, people that go there are polite and friendly, music's great and the foods actually quite yummy now, used to be a bit off but it's got so much better!! What more do you want? Reasonably priced drinks, great atmophere, and friendly bar staff? Go try it for yourself and get your own opinion on it!!”

“Delicious food, highly recommended. They must use really fresh produce, their meat is beautiful. Don't know what it's like in the evening, it's a perfect lunchtime destination. The service can get a bit slow when busy, but hey. The same as everywhere else. ”

Club 414, Brixton (Bar)
“This club truly sucks! Where do I start? With their rude aggressive body guards and obese cash-girl that never flashes her teeth? or with their outrageous entry prices? or by their mother that sells 1p neon bracelets in the toilette and sells them for £1 ? extremely expensive drink.. they don't even give offer free tab water!! never going back!”
