“We went to the Martello Hall in Mare Street Hackney yesterday for the first time.
A very pleasant surprise.
The décor is unique and innovative, the more you look at various parts of it, the more interesting it becomes and adds to the overall pleasant ambiance of the venue.
The staff were very attentive and helpful.
The authentic wood fired Pizza oven from Bologna, turns out excellent Pizza’s, (I can definitely recommend ‘The Samson’).
Would I visit again? ………….. ABSOLUTELY!

“Private function booked for 7.30. Starters came at 9.10 pm and as I didn't have a starter my main came at 9.40. Nearly eat my knife and fork. Nut Roast was an inedible wedge of grey pudding with 2 parsnips artfully arranged. Maybe they just wanted us to drink more. I have never reviewed before but this was SO bad. Then they had the cheek to charge us a non negotiable service charge. Never again”

“Visited for the first time on 3/12/16 waitress was pleasant to start and then became distant. Food ordered and waited an hour to be served, despite other customers being served who had came in after us Poor presentation of food which was also Luke warm.DId not initially complain as tired and hungry after visiting Winter wonderland. Paid bill and left and then reviewed receipt to find a £10 service charge which was not explained at time of paying. Returned and spoke to a waitress who was pleasant apologetic and refunded the £10. We understand London is expensive but the quality and service does not warrant the prices, we will vote with our feet and dine out elsewhere when visiting London again JC”

Amazing drinks menu, with promotions running throughout the week.

“This is a poor excuse for a restaurant. I feel like I have been ripped off. Empty plate on my table for 24 minutes. Main came in 2 parts 25 minutes apart. No value for money. I've seen more food in a packet of peanuts. My advice DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY TO VISIT THIS DAM PLACE.”

“I had a free coffee card for here unfortunately the coffee tasted of hot milk only. I spied a bacon roll that looked good and thought I would return the next day to try one. However the next day when I went back I asked for a bacon roll to be told they had never heard of a bacon roll!!!!!! They then turned to the other girl behind the counter and asked if they had ever heard of a bacon roll and all they said was'no bacon roll' - who has never heard of a bacon roll before especially when there was one in the hot food on offer section the day before. I had to laugh to myself especially as they were both standing in front of an open packet of bacon! Needless to say it gave me and my colleagues at work a good laugh when I told them the story!!! However sadly i will not be returning here ever again!!!!!!”

“I attended this club with 3 black girls including myself and 1 white girl. We were reassured that the club was not full and that we would definitely get in by the promoter. However, when we got to the door the lady with the clipboard told us that the club was full and that we would not be able to get in for the rest of the night which was quite shocking as we were very well dressed and looking forward to the night as it was my friend's birthday! However as we were leaving 6 east European girls turned up in the que and we're instantly allowed into the club. I'm very disgusted that these clubs discriminate against black people and feel that they should not be in London as london is a diverse city that hosts various races etc. ”

“This club has really deteriorated since my last visit 3 years ago. The only good value was that entry fee has stayed the same but other than that it's 2 stars. I visited two weeks ago and I was surprised at how sleazy and drunk most of thedancers looked. There used to be three beautiful dancers called Cherry, Sol and Tia when I last visited 3 years ago. Bubbly, Beautiful and good banter...
The standards have really dropped, The dancers pounce on you as soon as you walk through the door and offer you everything other than dances... The waitresses spent more time texting on their phones than they did serving drinks. One rude bar lady told me I should 'go to another club' if I don't like her service. This isn't a top club anymore.”

“There were more staff than customers on a Saturday night. The doormen are very polite and so were the bar staff, unfortunatley the Asian manager barely speaks any English and is incredibly rude and agressive, an absolute discrace. We had an issue which required the 'manager' to sort it out, needless to say he was completely useless and rude so we left our drinks there, untouched and will never return. Worst place in Ealing by far.”

“This isi one of the best cocktail and whisky bars that I have come to visit ever in my tours while in London. it's located in south kensington london next to a very calm and quite neighbourhood off queensgate street, My boyfriend took me here to celebrate my birthday and I had a good time all night long. very professional bar team and very well made cocktails. hope to visit this venue very soon again.”
