Archer Street 3-4 Archer Street, London, W1D 7AP (Map)
Had a few cocktails at Archer Street after work, it was alright but pretty expensive. Not sure about the waiter behind the bar going for a singsong instead of making my drink! More

The Lounge, Balham (Bar / Restaurant)
“This tapas bar gives you not just great food or great service or a great atmosphere, but all in abundance! Originally I had planned to go with a large group and had been in contact with Philippe the chef via email discussing pre-ordering to save time while there amongst other things. He could not have been more welcoming and I was immediately at ease that this choice of eatery would be a good one. The welcome when you arrive is lovely from Manuela and the rest of the waiting staff. They are attentive and welcoming without being overpowering. Then the food came out.....wow! We'd ordered nearly two thirds of the menu and it was all brought out looking amazing and smelling even better. The food tasted fresh and delicious - and far from being the chatting social meal I thought it would be, we were face down fighting over the array of different dishes coming out of the kitchen. I recommend everything - honestly. Hours of discussions could not tie us down to our favourites.”

Verve, West End (Bar / Restaurant / Club)
“3 key points; lovely ladies, cheap hhour drinks and awesome music. I work just down the road and i've become somewhat of a regular here. Me and my collegues always book an area before we go there (it's practically impossible to get a seat if you havent booked) the sales guy named tom sorts us out with special deals on buckets of beer and food. Really recommend it, can't wait for Friday to come!”

Bizzaro, Paddington (Restaurant)
“I booked a table at the restaurant for a 21st birthday party for my boyfriend. The staff made a big fuss of him which he loved. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We had brought our own cake and they helped us decorate it and serve it to us. Staff were really friendly and even played a practical joke which got us all laughing. Everything felt really personal, which was very important on his 21st. The food was delicious and nicely presented. Overall, they made the evening a night to remember for all of us. We will definitely be attending again, and telling all our friends about it. Thank you ever so much!”

“Some of the worst Turkish food in London. Dull, watery offerings at overinflated prices. Atmosphere? Cold. Service? Sluggish & Unresponsive.”

Barrio Soho, Soho (Bar / Restaurant / Club)
“We came across this bar by chance and so pleased we did! We booked an area for a party and the staff were really helpful in making sure everything was organised for this, and indeed the evening went smoothly. We had a lovely lady looking after us on the night and despite the bar being very busy she was attentive (without being annoyin) and everything was brought over quickly!
The cocktails were generous and delicious, the music was fun (and not so loud you couldn't hear yourself think) and there was just a great atmosphere! Thanks Barrio for a great night!”

L'Artiste Muscle, Mayfair (Restaurant)
“This is probably London's worst restaurant. Some have commented on how small the kitchen was. The only French person was the waiter cleverly employed to give the illusion of authenticity. The wine is awful too . keep clear of this place.”

The Maynard Arms, Crouch End (Bar)
“This pub had a complete refurbishment at the end of 2011 and the difference is amazing. Loads of comfy seating and scuffed wooden tables now. Loads more character. Much brighter too. And the beer garden out the back, what a find! Great guest ales on draught too, which I love.”

Le Pain Quotidien, South Bank & Bankside (Bar / Restaurant)
“Me and my friend often enjoy the scones and cream and jam. the one in the south bank has a nice atmosphere. One dsy we were there and a really friendly and attractive French waiter was talking to us. He said he liked rugby and that he had lived in Glasgow in Scotland. I am Scottish but I live in London now.
My friend and I went into Le pain quotidien to see if we could see this man again as he seemed really friendly but we never saw him again.”

We went downstairs in the reception where the ladies put our jackets in for fre. We payed the £10 pounds addmission and went inside. They gave me and my friends a table. we sat down and got served by a lovely waitress. Had loads of Dances and enjoyed ourselfs to tha MAX!!! Amazing experience. I got a bit drunk though and lost my iPhone. But the Head of Security handed it to me as he founded it. All staff were great and polite. Well run club! Definately going back ;)”

“Been coming to The Drayton on and off for over 10 years and was very disappointed last night to see their new policy of "this table is reserved for those eating" on pretty much ALL the tables. They're going to miss out on a lot of business....”

Cafe Espana, Soho (Restaurant)
“Cafe España in London. If you are looking for a good Spanish restaurant don't go there!!!!
We had been three times in Café España and we always have liked it, it's for that reason that I decided to celebrate my birthday in there. I booked a table for sixteen people and we decided that our menu would be a “Tapas” selection. We ordered eight different dishes of Tapas, one dish for each four people, making a total of 32 dishes. The only word that comes to me to describe those dishes is SHAME! A dish of ham and cheese that only counts with three pieces of cheese and four small pieces of ham. We had to cut the cheese because the dishes didn't have even a piece for each person. The croquettes' dish just had two of them. Can you imagine a big dish with only 2 croquettes? It looks very empty. I don't know how they can do something like this. The meatballs looked like cat's food, just four tiny meatballs per dish. And when I say tiny i'm being very generous.
At this point we decided to spea with the manager who told us that the restaurant has changed the management recently and for don't increase the prices they decided to make the rations smaller. For me it's not a valid explanation. I´d be absolutely ashamed presenting those dishes to someone.
In my point of view Cafe España is the most disappointing place I've been in London. I'm never coming back, I'm Spanish and I've visited very good Spanish restaurants in London. Café España is not one of them.”
