Proud Cabaret City, City of London (Restaurant / Club)
“I went to Proud Cabaret with a Groupon voucher.
.
The show started an hour after my booked arrival time 7pm. Among the acts was a woman singing "There'll Always Be An England" and taking her clothes off. Other acts included semi-naked gymnasts and a Marilyn Monroe look-alike.
The food was good. the entertainment was spoiled somewhat by the gratuitous use of foul language. When I got my bill, there was an amount shown for a "gratuity" in addition to the mandatory service charge. I queried this and had the "gratuity" removed.
Were it not for the language and the overcharging , it would have been quite a good evening.”

The Cabin Steak & Seafood Grill, Chiswick & Brentford (Restaurant)
“I was at The Cabin Grill a few nights ago, and just had to write a review about the steaks!
I was in Chiswick for a meeting and felt a little peckish after, so having looked around I found The Cabin on a nice little corner down one end of the high street.
I was alone and immediately after arriving was swiftly shown to a nice corner table and offered a drink. I had a glass of there lovely Malbec and went right ahead and ordered some King Prawns to start and a Cote de Bôeuf. The Steak was amazing! The best I have had for years. I ordered it Blue, and it was cooked perfectly, warm in the middle and incredibly tasty! It came with a choice of side and I got some of the Garlic Green beans as a side.
I eat in restaurant all over london and was genuinely impressed with The Cabin. If I lived in West London I think I would become an addict.
In addition to the Food, the service was efficient, friendly and unobtrusive. I really can not find fault with this place, and would recommend it any day.”

LPDJ, Shepherds Bush (Restaurant)
“The food is good but the service is horrible. I've been twice and had to wait almost two hours for the food. I think they are short of staff and they are not very friendly. I've seen other tables complaining about the waiting. I don't recomend it. I've been to better French restaurants.”

Takari Indian Restaurant, West End (Restaurant)
“Expectations of Takari, London, were high as it had been recommended by friends. It didn't disappoint. We had the al lacarte menu which showcased gorgeous flavours and beautiful presentation. Credit goes to the attentive staff for taking great care with a food intolerance issue. Great Place”

Monto Water Rats, Kings Cross (Bar / Club)
“I have a great time at Monto Water Rats, love the musuc, ambiance, and staff, all are great. It's like a second home to me after a long weeks work.
The bar is cosy.. I have amazing memories of standing up at the back of the room where they hold the gigs and watching some of my favorite bands.
i've been going to gigs for years and still love the place. Its a good place to go for a drink on a saturday night.
The place is what it is, anyone coming here expectinig anything fancy will leave disappointed, but in general, its a great little old school vibe to come drink and be merry. the area where the gigs are can get very busy and really intimate. the gigs i've seen here have always had an excellent atmosphere, and the crowd have always left satisfied.”

Bentley's Oyster Bar & Grill, Mayfair (Bar / Restaurant)
“Had an excellent dinner at Bentleys. I thought the service was very good, and our waiter made an excellent recommendation of the Dover Sole which was delicious. It was busy that evening, and so the atmosphere was buzzy - just what you need when going out for supper. I will definately be back.”

Queen of Sheba Ethiopian Restaurant, Kentish Town (Restaurant)
“This place is a so good I cant wait to come back again. I love the coziness and the warm welcome from the servers. The food is delicious and wonderfully different and exotic. It is not too expensive and they have a fairly good wine selection. I loved the elaborate coffee presentation after our meal. I am mostly vegetarian and this place had a huge selection for me! As I said before...I cant wait to return again and bring new friends to this beautifully decorated restaurant.”

Look Mum No Hands, Angel & Islington (Bar)
“A cyclists wet dream. A truly cool hang out for anyone who is obsessed with transport of the two wheel variety. A full range of clientele from young to old, funky to conservative. Inventive space with alfresco dining. Great pies with salads. Decent selection of beers. Bike repairs on site. And loads of info about cycling. Love it!”

Queen of Hoxton, Shoreditch (Bar / Club)
“The best roof terrace in the whole of London. It has its own bar, own toilets, and the sun beams down all day. I recommend getting there early (around midday) to grab a seat. And take cash, no card payments upstairs and then there's a one in one out policy to get back up to the roof. Beautiful babies in the sunshine!”

Giovanni's, West End (Restaurant)
“I came to this restaurant a few years ago and loved it. I went tonight, and came out with that sinking, angry feeling feeling of having been taken for an absolute fool. It is *astronmically* bad value. Not only are the side dishes eye-poppingly expensive - £4.50 for a smattering of vegetables; £5.50 for a microscoptic fruit salad - but the main dishes are measly and poor quality too. £16.50 for a plate containing nothing but two slivers of swordfish so thin you could barely taste them. £15.50 for that day's Special - a tiny plate bearing nothing but a single grilled prawn, a few whitebait and a tiny selection of other fish that were dried out and tasteless.
The £1.50 per person cover comprised stale french bread. Stale! Surely that reveals a total lack of respect for customers?? Our bill came to £56 for two people and as soon as I came home, I had to raid the fridge because I was still so hungry.
Please don't go to this restaurant.”

The Opera Tavern, West End (Bar / Restaurant)
“I head down to London on a regular basis to meet up with friends and loved ones in the West End for a show and a nice bite to eat at a posh restaurant or two (we don't get them in Leicester) so this reasonably new tapas restaurant in Covent Garden is a true find. Fantastic wine list and brilliant fish tapas.”

Chapter One, Bromley (Restaurant)
“Second visit for an evening dinner. Great service. Great starter and dessert. Main course was steak (most expensive item on the menu) First one was returned to the kitchen due to the huge fat content and the second was way over seasoned with salt. This didn't complement the puree potato, as this also was extremely salty. This was also duly dispatched to the kitchen.
I think this place is over rated”

The White Cross, Richmond & Kew (Bar)
“Having come here on a blissfully hot summers day we were certainly impressed by the friendliness and speed of service. We had some sharing boards which was just what we wanted for a late lunch. Everything was amazing even when we good marooned in the garden the staff came out in their wellies and gave us table service! Great pub, great location and we will return.”
