The Antelope 76 Mitcham Road, London, SW17 9NG (Map)

A superb pub with something for everyone. Front section is for the beer and ale drinkers. Rear restaurant serves an outstanding roast. And then the large events room shows big screen footie action. More Atmosphere: Value: Quality:

“A small pub but very cosy. Dog-friendly. LOADS of quirky stuff just hanging from every surface. Lots to look at and talk about. Like the music selection too. Made for quiet pints really.”

“Caviar, caviar, caviar. And Champagne. Or maybe cocktails. Oh, choices choices choices. A nice place to meet for a light - and reassuringly expensive - seafood meal. Good location too.”

“If you are between the age of 18 and 22 you would probalby love this place, its packed with young people. The cloakroom is in the middle of an entrance / exit and the dance floor, there is a constant queue of people snaked along the seating area and dance floor. The bouncers are extremely rude, we had booked an area for a farewell, the area happend to be in line with the cloackroom, one of the bouncers pushed us, literally one of the girls actually almost fell over and told us not to stand in the way, a simple please move would have been a better option, when we asked him not to push us, he just shouted back, well then do what i say! arrogant comes to mind. The toilets are disgusting!!!!!!!young girls hanging around in the loo's for hours in large groups. I would just say, depending on what type of night you looking for consider these points. the outside area and reserved areas are nice and large.”

Sunset Strip, Soho (Bar / Club)
“I am very happy with my visit to the Sunset Strip. I go to strip clubs to see pretty girls get naked - not to be harrassed into buying expensive bottles of champagne and having girls only half strip (i.e. leaving knickers partly on) and in such dim lighting that you can't see a thing. The above description is for another more celubrious club that I went to earlier and felt compltely ripped off. The Sunset strip is exactly as a strip club should be. There is a bar upstairs but there is no pressure to buy drinks and the drinks are very reasonable anyway. The girls actually mingle with you in the bar. The girls are pretty and the private dances cost 20 pounds for a song. The girls get fully naked and the lighting is bright so you actually get to see everything, which is why we go to strips clubs in the first place. The private dancing area is a little cramped but that shouldn't put you off. And while wating for a private dance there is always a girl stripping on stage. I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants a proper strip club and doesn't want to get ripped off like in some of the more famous celebrity frequented clubs.”

“Things have perhaps gone down a bit with the business. There's no restaurant or hot food anymore, and the boat, its pontoon and general decor are soon going to be needing some serious money spent on them.”

“Working in central London and I am constantly passing through London Victoria and often disappointed by what’s on offer on my way home from work with friends when we need a place to relax. Luckily for us we found Reunion Bar! One of London Victoria’s best kept secrets I was pleasantly surprised at the huge cocktail menu, decor, atmosphere and quality of the drinks that rivals most bars! It is fair to say that me and my friends have now found our new choice of bar. Going to go back as much as possible would definitely recommend!”

“It is always so hard to find somewhere great to have drinks in Victoria, until we stumbled across reunion. Being a very indecisive person I never know which coctail to choose and always go with a trusted cosmo, asked the barman for some inspiration and he mixed together his citrus version of this classic. It was one of the best cocktails I have ever tasted. The bar is very sexy with some fabulous big chairs that are great to sit and people watch from. I will be back!”

“An amazing venue for quality drinks! A relatively small bar can go from quiet to busy in minutes, we had a booking and the guys there really looked after us. We got there for happy hour which was two for one on all the drinks and because we had a booking we got a bottle of champagne afterwards! we had a great night would definitely recommend.”

“Love this place! We go there after work quite a lot and always find the staff really friendly and nice. Mostly we get the tapas bits and pieces and love every bit. Completely unpretentious but keeps staff, food and atmosphere quality really strong. I'm a massive fan of their Bramble cocktail!”

Hideaway, Streatham & Norbury (Bar / Club)
“I've been to Hideaway five times this year, after finding it in a (un)lucky night with friends. I'm sorry to say the venue has been falling in quality since the first time I went there. Drinks will take ages to get to the table, despite the impressive numbers of staff walking around, it feel disorganized and lost, I tried asking for a drink several times only to learn that there was a specific waiter for my table, this specific waiter must have been lost somewhere and no one would even try to get our drinks! I feel though that I can't blame the staff as they were all really friendly but apparently were not told what to do or how to do it! It looks like they're dropped in the restaurant and thrown to the tables. The bands are great, I've seen Gipsy Fire throw a hell of a show here, one of their very best, but it's a real shame that a venue that could have it all is losing itself bit by bit, out of what can only be,clearly, bad management. It's a place where I will not return, nor will any of my friends. If you're looking for quality, simply go Ronnie's.”

We stayed all night long and it was only a fiver to get in! amazing! will defo go back x”
