You will always be given an entertaining time by Posh David at the Queen's Larder; the best bartender I've come across in London!! Ask him anything you want to know about anything, especially churches,... More Atmosphere: Value: Quality:

“Get venue for a private party. Private room has great atmosphere - trendy, but not in your face! New staff/management very good value, and accommodating. A real steal, worth a night out or making it your local!”

“A great cotch and a nice place 2 go with a big group of people; Artesian Well is cosy yet heady, with more techno and drum n bass downstairs, and a dj upstairs providing remixes of your favourite songs. Good bus links out of clapham.”

“There are many fantastic restaurants in Covent Gerden and then there's Don Pacifico. The tables were cramped, the service was indifferent, and then there was the food .... I wouldn't feed it to my dog. The microwave had obviously got the night off when we visited - the starter was stone cold and when it arrived the first time. On the replay, I took one bite and almost gagged. I put that down to experience, and awaited the main course. I took one bite of that and gag number two. Had to finish off my drink and half of my partners to get rid of the taste. Unfortunately I could hardly sent it back and order something else as the menu is so incredibly limited. If you will eat absolutely anything, absolutely anywhere, this may be the place for you. If you're walking through Covent Garden looking for anywhere to enjoy a pleasant/edible meal, carry on walking. The sort of place you only ever go to once. I would rather chew my own foot off then eat there again.”

“I think this is the most comfortable pub in South West London - the beer, wine and athmosphere are all excellent - a traditional small London pub. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly.”

“This place is ok. its kennington's only theme bar and it does beg you to ask why kennington would need a theme bar but its funny if nothing else for that reason. my main issue with this place is that its kennington - and you have to buy bottles - its expensive as a result. live music is fun and the people seem friendly enough....its just that there's so many better places. avoid the chicken place next door”

“Good for George, I mean I don't approve of assaulting anyone obviously, but I can see why the diminutive footballing genius and wife beater threw a benny when he saw this place. Used to be great, great pub, now a passable cocktail bar at best. That's progress for you. No doubt the Chelsea kiddiez love it but I've sure stopped making the trip from Battersea. Go to the Albert opposite Battersea park instead, it's only five minutes away and at least they do a decent pint and have friendly Australian hobbits behind the bar.”

606 Club, Chelsea (Bar / Club)
“The 606 Club is the perfect venue for deaf millionaires with no tastebuds. A little harsh perhaps - it's not that the place is bad, its just a real challenge to find a word that describes it better than mediocre. The food is bland and heavy, the mark-up on the wines staggeringly brazen. The waiters are grim and bored. You might be able to forgive all that if the jazz was really proper but again the M word comes to mind - somebody should let whoever booked these had-been's know that there is no jazz without soul - these guys looked as up for it as though they were performing at a children's birthday party for the tenth time that week. For three bottles of wine, two starters and three main courses to get a bill at the end of the night for £230 was just a bit too far on the wrong side of cheeky. At these prices you expect more than soggy potatoes, dry fish and a tuneless drummer. My advice - if its jazz you're after take your money instead to Jazz Cafe or Ronnie Scott's, the food is a little bit better but the music is usually supreme. ”

Istanbul Meze Bar & Grill, Fitzrovia (Bar / Restaurant)
“Turkish cuisine in a slightly cramped atmosphere as tables are very close to one another but tasteful plain décor. Service was dismally slow which rather marred the ambience, wholesome Turkish food. Starter was a mixed meze which was rather bland and small portioned, followed by Calamari which was tough and aubergine stuffed with lamb which had an excellent flavour, portions were very generous. A pan of mind blowing chilli sauce was offered around which was a nice touch. Would of liked a desert or coffee but waiters were not very forthcoming. Around £20 per head with house wine, also offers a set dinner menu for £10.50 per peron.”
