Aragosta, Wood Green & Palmers Green (Restaurant)
“This is an excellent restaurant and I have now been there 5 times as I enjoyed it so much. Recommend the seafood - the mussels, prawns and calmari are all delicious, as is everything I have tried on the menu.”

Christopher's, West End (Bar / Restaurant)
“Christopher's is a great place for a meal pre- or post-theatre. The atmosphere is always great: it's lively and informal, the waiters and waitresses are friendly and helpful and the setting is very attractive. The location is also pretty good for theatreland or going out in town at night. The menu gives offers a broad range of dishes which are invariably delicious. I think their ingredients must be really good, because every meal I've had there has been wonderful, the last among the best I've ever had. The wine I've drunk there has always been extremely good. One of Christopher's biggest assets is its comfort. With a great bar downstairs, Christopher's is the perfect place to drop by for a super supper.”

Buona Sera at the Jam, Chelsea (Bar / Restaurant)
“The food wasn't particularly delicious and I doubt about the high quality of seafood... anyway the staff was extremely kind and availaible.
I tried spaghetti al cartoccio and zuppa di pesce, but I was not so impressed by the taste of dishes. The real amusing thing of this restaurant is the possibility to have dinner above the table at the ground floor (but do not forget to book in advance). Good range of italian beer, I am Italian and I can assure that Moretti is not so spread in England!”

Christopher's, West End (Bar / Restaurant)
“I've been to Christopher's on a number of occasions and haven't been disappointed. The service is excellent and it is always busy so best to book ahead. We went for brunch and the food was delicious and reasonably priced - amazing blueberry pancakes. Great, central location and lovely surroundings. Will definitely go again.”

Palm Court Brasserie, West End (Bar / Restaurant)
“Great brasserie! Ate here on Saturday evening at about 10pm and the restaurant was perfect - very laid back ambience but staff were attentive and helpful. The terrain for starters was sublime and the tuna for main was delicious. Would highly recommend if you're in the Covent Garden area.”

Borscht n' Tears, Knightsbridge (Bar / Restaurant)
“Amazing Russian restaurant.
The food is very high quality, mixture of traditional and modern for very good price.
The restaurant is very small, a little squashed, but atmosphere is amazing. You feel back at home, with best live Russian music in London. Different music on different nights. They even have Ruski Rock)
Very good service, not over the top, but relaxed, informal and always friendly.
Feels like home in all the best ways.
Recommend to all looking for some nostalgie.”

The Champion, Notting Hill (Bar)
“A really nice pub spoiled by the regular habit of serving short beer measures. There was a rather aggressive barman there on Tuesday evening, May 12, 2009 who told two customers that the glasses were oversized. Indeed they were, but the liquid fell far short of the line and he eventually topped them up with exceedingly bad grace.
I've complained to the pubco, M&B on two separate occasions about short measures, things improve for a while, then slip back.
Try 'The Churchill' in nearby Kensington Church Road for a (cheaper) full pint and really friendly staff.”

Chapel Bar & Club, Angel & Islington (Bar / Restaurant / Club)
“Been to the chapel bar a few times, usually on a friday night. They seem to have a few different promotions on mainly focusing on the house music genre. . . usually end up being one of the last ones out of there but with a 4am finish thats good for me. Good thing about the chapel bar is that its always value for money - usually £5 b4 12am and a bit more after. Great for a late licenced bar, every where else around Angel either finishes at 2am or is over £10 for a late one. . . I reccommend it highly.”

Porcupine, West End (Bar)
“Excellent location being next to the fun and exciting Soho area. This cozy pub has a great central location being close to many things including a tube station. I've enjoyed many pints over the years from my London excusions. I especially like the upper room, however it does need to be open longer. One time we were scooted out downstairs fairly early in the evening. Overall I have fond memories of the Porcupine and I would hope to make it back one day.”

Janet's Bar, Kensington (Bar)
“Count me in!! I brought a bunch of my friends here - we LOVED it - what a cool bar - GO JANET! GO JANET!
We had martinis and Silver Streaks - really tasty. Booked my BF's 25th at the bar - live music, hot dogs and martinis.
Also loved the staff-completely eclectic - Poles, Surfers, Irish singers, and The Janet - an American who is a cross between Sharon Stone and Dolly Parton!”

The Plough, Barnes & Sheen (Bar / Restaurant / Hotel)
“Had lunch with my family there on Sunday Bank Holiday. The pub had a fantastic atmosphere, full of people, kids and dogs! I do not understand the other reviews at all!
My husband had the burger on the menu (chicken with guacamole and chorizo) which was absolutely delicious. I opted for the toulouse sausages which was also very good. The service was excellent considering how busy the place was and it all looked very clean. Prices were average but well worth every penny. I would definitely recommend this pub a visit and shall be returning for the next May bank holiday!”
