The Golden Oven, Soho (Restaurant)
“The Golden Oven in Soho was excellent for a pre theatre Dinner. Unfancy, traditional honest food without the grease and boring options that let most other Indian restaurants down. The Waiter simply recommended a dish of mixed fish (wasn't on the menu - couldn't decide as spoilt for choice). The recommendation was excellent - clean, fresh well executed food with a personal touch to the service. Will Return.”

“I like going to this pub during the day when there's nobody there. They have free wifi, great tunes, and the sandwich menu is fairly decent. I recommend the spiced herb falafel with hummus and rocket. It's a beast!”

“If you want a nice quiet lunch in a pub full of character with great food then you can't go wrong with the Hat & Tun. I think it might be my favourite pub and restaurant in London let alone Clerkenwell! The staff are always so efficient, they're obviously used to busy lunches! It's just what you need when you're aware you need to get back to the office! Have a pie, trust me, you won't regret it!”

“Lovely and quiet during the week. Just what I need to get away from the misery of my office desk. That plus an awesome pie and a pint of ale. It's true, this really is a hidden gem of a pub.”

“AMAZING club! Atnosphere is pumped, music is hot and the people are cool! All manner of different and interesting peeps to get chatting to over the funk/soul/reggae/dub live music - bumped in to the writer of Submarine last week! One of my favourite clubs in the whole of London!”

“My buddy and I went here last night. It was a Monday and we booked using some special half price deal, which I'd totally recommend. We both had excellent aubergine starters and then sizeable mains. He had a glass of wine and I had a Coke and the bill only came to about £20 between us. Bargain of the century! I also recommend swapping the penne for gnocchi - at no extra cost - it works a treat. Cute waitresses too.”

“Went to Key of Life at Egg this weekend. Very cool and unique party and the club itself suited the event brilliantly. Loads of different rooms to get lost in and a wicked terrace. Will definitely be going back, specially with the summer approaching!”

“I just wanted to say a Big thank you to all the staff at Adventure,Nigel for making the arrangements for me at short notice and to Matin who was there for us all night to cater to all our needs. it was my fortieth birthday and I wanted everyone to have a good time...mission accomplished. the most fun night out in ages. The barmen are fun, a little cheeky and super fast. Nothing was too much trouble and someone was always at hand to make sure we had what we needed. The venue was perfect, just the right size, atmosphere was great, the music got us all dancing away and the cocktails FABULOUS (two for one 5 till 8). if you can imagine it those talented bar can make!!!! The little extras like the party hats and poppers etc were nice touches, as was the free champagne which arrived with a serious sparklers attached. I had a BLAST and will definitely be back. In fact together with a friend we would like to do a fund raiser there. One cant help but have a good time stepping inside. THANK YOU. Ps they even arranged a cab for me at the end of the night xxx”

“I used to like the saturday nights with girls and boys, which made it an ideal venue for couples; great pity these have been suspended; prices for dinner and individual dances have remained very reasonable in view of the excellent quality of the place , but the hourly rates for companionship have escalated tremendously in the past 4 years”

“This is my third time back at the Bel Canto opera restaurant and it just gets better and better every time. In terms of value for money, it's amazing. The food is of a high standard, the wine is varied, but the atmosphere is totally enthralling, and even though I've been several times, I've hardly seen any repetition in the arias being performed. Bravo!”

“This is without a doubt the worst restaurant experience I have had in my life. Very, very rude staff who treat you horribly and with no respect what so ever. And as for the food, what our table received was not fresh, presented very poorly and bland. I don't expect much from a Chinese restaurant but this was just disgraceful.”

“This pub has plenty of comfy chairs and different seating arrangements so it shouldn't be too hard to relax. It also has free wifi which for someone like me is great because I can work in there all day. The caesar salad was pretty good, and the service was excellent. Decent background tunes and plenty of people to watch. At the end of the working day, a nice pint of ale to treat myself too. Glorious.”

Apples & Pears, Brick Lane (Bar)
“We always swing by this place after a few drinks out in Brick Lane. The cocktails are very much up to standard and the crowd a little more mature for the area. The decor is very relaxing and there is a basement area for dancing, - although we usually prefer relaxing on the ground floor. Would Recommend”
