Los Locos, West End (Bar / Restaurant / Club)
“Loc locos is the place to be for a good nite, good friendly atmosphere, good crowd of people, and as for the good looking Dj with the lovely smile, he alone is enough to make me go again. All the staff are friendly and welcoming, from the lavatory assistant to the door men. Drink prices are fair, in general a good place to relax and unwind after a hard week at work.”

La Galleria, Battersea (Bar / Restaurant)
“One night I passed by this little restaurant / coffeeshop in Battersea High Street I glanced in - the place was empty (to my surprise).
I went in and order Girasole Pasta (is one of their own home made pasta) and a glass of wine.
The food was delicious (there was no staff as it is family run by two sister and one brother ITALIAN the cleanliness in this place is amazing they are very friendly and polite (sorry I cannot STOP recommend this place enough pity that is not busy as it deserves to be packed for the food and service they give).
The next day I booked for a birthday party of 20 people and let me tell you YES we wait a while for the food to arrive "you wait anywhere and the food is not as good and Especially Not Home made" but it was worth it.
on a scale of 1 to 10 I give this place 100.
Sensational food, superb service and a refreshingly lightweight bill ensured a perfect evening. Will definitely be returning - I URGE everybody to try it.

Frontline, Paddington (Bar / Restaurant)
“A great place to hear the "real" stories behind the news. Frontline is a restaurant, bar and meeting place for journalists and those interested in knowing more about what's going on in the places you read or hear about in the headlines. Unique atmosphere, good food and a really nice bunch of people. Highly recommended.”

The Grove Bar & Restaurant, Hammersmith (Bar / Restaurant)
“The Grove generally has very friendly staff, excellent food, and a good range of wines. A proper beer wouldn't go amiss, but what they do have is well served. Well worth a visit, especially sat outside on a warm evening!”

Opal Champagne Lounge, Kensington (Bar)
“After almost being refused entry though I had been on a guest list booked three weeks in advance, after our party spent close to a thousand pounds, and after an evening of overpriced drinks mixed with too much ice and too little alcohol, one bouncer literally threw my friend into the cloakroom at the end of the night to tell him that he was being too noisy and had better “shut up quick.” I told the 200+plus Afro-Caribbean bouncer to not speak to anyone ever in such a fashion, and found myself being roughhoused toward the exit, stumbling up the staircase backwards with two hands on my chest and a very angry man telling me to not tell him what to do. I pushed back against this bouncer that outweighed me by at least 50 pounds, and he stumbled backwards down a couple of steps. I was so surprised that he fell so easily that I actually grabbed onto his arms to prevent him from falling, and I ended up stumbling back down the stairs in my attempts to keep him standing. He then grabbed my neck with one hand and began strangling me, and said “you’re going to die, b*tch” as he led me up the stairs by my neck while my 5’1” female friend tried to intervene. My friend who had been told to “shut up quick” went ballistic, I broke the bouncer’s hold on my neck (rather impressively, I should add) and together we pushed the bouncer down the stairs again. All aggression, no balance. An eastern European bouncer sprinted up the steps and pushed us both out of the club (again, rather impress”

Mazza, Putney (Restaurant)
“Great food, great atmosphere, and great service. Mazza is really a unique place - we love its casual and friendly style and its light spices. The place is clean, pictures are beautiful, and the music is modern european. Future of Indian restaurants and at reasonable prices. Great addition to the eating out scene in Putney and Wimbledon.”

The Chandos, West End (Bar)
“OK, the Chandos is not the liveliest pub in London, but hey, take some mates.
If you know Sam Smiths pubs, I don’t need to tell you, they all have the same basic layout…. Low tech downstairs/bar, posh (relatively speaking) upstairs/saloon for food.
And the best bit…. Good food, cheap beer and with stout just over a couple of quid a pint, you can’t go wrong.”

“I have now eaten at Loco on two occasions. The setting and atmosphere is fantastic. The grand eating hall painted in deep red colour makes a very romantic feeling. The food in this Tony Allen restaurant is wonderful and served to a very high standard. The service is also very professional and prompt. I would also like to recommend the great cocktails!!”

Cafe Rouge, Greenwich (Restaurant / Hotel)
“A friend and myself went to Cafe Rouge for lunch today (6/7/05) as a special treat. We decided to have the set luch menu as the items listed appeared very appetising. The restaurant was not very busy with only about 6 tables being occupied.
I had the puff pastry choice for starter which was quite nice. The main course was the omlette served with chips and salad. The omlette was very dry and unappetising. It tasted like it had been made earlier and then re-heated in the microwave. The chips were also soggy and very disappointing.
Following our meal we ordered 2 glasses of wine and 2 glasses of water. The wine arrived on our table in about 10 minutes but we waited a further 15 minutes for the water and even had to remind the waitress again.
I was very disappointed with the quality of the food and the slow service and will not be returning to this restaurant again. I also will not recommend cafe rouge to any of my friends.”
