“I had my birthday drinks at JuJu a few weeks ago (my girlfriend organised this for me). I had an amazing time! The drinks (especially the cocktails) were great and we can order bottles of spirits and these came with complimentary mixers! Definitely recommend!”

The Golden Oven, Soho (Restaurant)
“This place is fantastic. This was our second meal there and again the food was awesome. The service is personal. Value for money is definitely their and the relaxed atmosphere is the making of a romantic evening. Upgraded the house bottle of wine to a superb Rioja. This is an evening experience rather than just a meal. Will definitely be going back. Thumbs up, do yourself a favour and get booked in worth a try.”

Lyric Tavern, Soho (Bar)
“My father in law Albert Hitchin took over the lyric in 1947 to 1987. And Bridget his wife started the food service in the 50's. It was the local pub for all the Soho regulars and artists including the Windmill all the great stars came in at some times, could write a book about those times. Bridget is still with us in her mid Ninetys living in a home nr Ditchling.”

The Social, Fitzrovia (Bar)
“If you don't like music, don't visit The Social because they like it cool and they like it loud, very loud. Thank goodness for the cosy little booths (perfect for squeezing up close to one another). Just make sure you like the person(s) you're sat next to because they're the only people you'll be able to talk to. Unless you want to shout. Decent range of bottled beers and a MASSIVELY popular hip-hop karaoke downstairs. Rad!”

“really unimpressed with your service levels, people. Had my 30th here yesterday as it used to be one of my favourite places and they wouldn't let me have my birthday cake there. Yes, that's right, the cake my little sister hauled all the way from Canary Wharf to surprise me with - and that's after a £300+ bill. Nice one; I guess that's 5 less satisfied customers for you guys!”

Euphoriom Nightclub and Bar, Acton (Bar / Club)
“Euphoriom is not the place to go for a good night out. It feels like a lame party in someone's basement from when you were 14 years old. The management is really bad, and I think whoever owns this place are totally amateur. I didn't enjoy myself at ALL!”

Zizzi, Soho (Restaurant)
“I'm giving the atmosphere rating 5 stars because there was no atmosphere. It was empty, but that's exactly what my companion and I were looking for. We'd spent the day wandering the streets of Covent Garden and the West End and really wanted a decent, quiet meal where we could get a nice glass of wine and just chill out. This restaurant is a true hidden gem. Nobody knows about it (aside from people who work near there during the week. Excellent Italian food, a very modern restaurant with loads of light and contemporary design touches, and an excellent wine list. Always leave room for dessert because nearly every option has booze in it. Perfect.”

“Proud Cabaret is the real deal. Cabaret, Comedy, Burlesque. Can it be costly? Sure, but you're paying for the entertainment, and it's a great place to go with a crowd. I don't live in London anymore, but whenever I visit, I drop by.”

Frank's Bar & Cafe, Peckham & Camberwell (Bar / Restaurant)
“This is my new favourite bar in London. Amazing set up with a makeshift bar, DJ, modern artwork basic kitchen, local beers, delicious cocktails, and easily one of the best views you'll ever get in London. Take a warm coat though, as it does get chilly. These photos don't do it justice really.”

The Gallery at Sketch London, Mayfair (Bar / Restaurant)
“I love any place that makes me feel like Alice falling down the rabbit hole and Sketch's Parlour room is THE place that makes that fantasy of mine a reality. Not only was the Louis XV furniture and quirky pattisserie perfect for an after work session in Wonderland, but the service was ace - no queen would dare chop off any heads as they'd have no reason to! I recommend the gin cocktails and any of the dessert tarts.”
