The Manor Arms, Streatham & Norbury (Bar / Restaurant)
“This pub is too child friendly and is more like a child care centre than a pub. I would never recommend this pub to anyone who doesn't have children. Large groups of friends with their young children overwhelmed the pub - with noise, screaming, toys strewn over the floor and the parents happily sitting chatting at the large table pretty much ignoring their own children whilst every other patron had to deal with the unpleasantness of unruly children.
The waitress and food service was terribly slow - it would have been forgiven if it was not a child day care centre.
This pub could be amazing, in a gorgeous building and decorated in good taste but allowing large tables of young children ruins the atmosphere.
Will not be going back here again.”

Masala Zone Bayswater, Notting Hill (Bar / Restaurant)
“As I write my mouth is watering ! And not only because I like Indian food.
I'm Italian so I should have enough goodness at home. Still I cannot resist the cuisine from other parts of the world and probably my favourite is the Indian one. I happened to go to the Masala zone restaurant in the west end last summer. What I really liked was the open kitchen so that I could see what I was going to eat. Exactly! I was going to eat what the cook just put in the pan and then straight into my plate. Wonderful ,the smell the taste light hot as I asked as I was with my young daughter who doesn't particularly appreciate spicy food. Still she managed to finish the plate and was also very pleased. She'll probably ask me to go there again. This time in Notting hill gate just before diving in Portobello market!”

The Artesian Well, Clapham (Bar / Club)
“I love you artesian! Start a petition or something and I’ll be first to sign up!! I’m 100% against the EMRO, I think its ridiculous. Pretty pathetic in my opinion to start closing places like you (The Artesian Well) down at midnight because im sure that would bankrupt them and they’d have to close. In the long run you are destroying local businesses and robbing their staff of their livelihood.”

“What are they thinking?! That is all I have to say about this whole thing about closing places at midnight. I want a place to go where I enjoy and feel safe and can get home with out having to worry! I’ve been going to Artesian for years, its basically my second home, where will I go now?!”

The Artesian Well, Clapham (Bar / Club)
“Loved the place, so unique and great vibe and classy clientele. Heard about the council trying to close Artesian and other venues at midnight, huge mistake. There will be nowhere for us to go. The main reason I moved to Clapham was the amazing nightlife. Don’t they realise that these unique places make Clapham what it is?”

The Bolingbroke, Clapham (Bar / Restaurant)
“I went in this well heeled local to ask about a potential booking for 30 - a local parents' group for a Pre-Xmas dinner. I had one of the rudest exchanges I have ever come across with the manager - as a local that lives literally around the corner, I recognised the manageress. Dismissive, disinterested, but even if you had no interest or or availability, I would not have made my disdain so plain to a local customer. basically just turned and walked away mid-enquiry. Dreadful. I am astonished.”

Layali Lounge, Clapham (Restaurant)
“I would give this venue a 5 star rating in all its categories because I am in love with this place. The restaurant and front garden is done up so beautifully , and one senses so much of warmth in the ambience. Me and my partner had dinner in the restaurant and we were asked if we wanted to move outdoors after we had finished our meal, I was a bit reluctant as I only saw people smoking the hubble bubble to which the waiter said that we do not have to do that we can just sit outside and finish our wine, which we did, and not to mention ordered our second bottle (It was only £18 a bottle by the way).Lovely staff and excellent food not to mention really good value for money.”
