Bleeding Heart Bistro Bleeding Heart Yard, 19 Greville Street, London, EC1N 8SJ (Map)

A decent bistro restaurant hidden away in a little courtyard with a nice little al fresco section (although it is right next to the bins). If you're not keen to be part of the business lunch crowd, I'd... More Atmosphere: Value: Quality:

“Terrible pub. I swear it hasn't been cleaned since the 70's (including the glasses). It is smelly, dark and unfriendly and is everything the gay community try so hard to work against (this is a step backward for any hope of a forward thinking London). What a wasted journey!”

“This place is so lovely. I used it for our company Kick Off and have so many people tell me how much they enjoyed it. From the food - to the garden everything is top quality. Sam and Hannah are really helpful and nothing was to big or to small. Thank you for such a wonderful evening.”

“I only stopped by for a quick drink - Arizona Peach Ice Tea, a perfect choice for a hot summer's day in London. I'm definitely going back for a lunch. The card system is intriguing and the whole concept of a rapidly-served dining experience in an ultra-urban looking establishment is something I've got to experience. I have my eye on the Pesto Pasta followed by the Crema di Fragola and washed down with an Arizona Green Tea.”

Wong Kei, West End (Restaurant)
“I used to pronounce the name of this restaurant like 'wonky' - that's one way to describe the layout of the restaurant. The ground floor is generally for the worker who pops in to have a quick lunch or loners, while the top two floors are for groups of diners or simply those who can't stand the idea of eating ona table without a tablecoloth. Upstairs, downstairs regardless, evey customer gets served a complimentary pot of Chinese tea. It's a simple touch which always warms me to this restaurant - it certainly isn't the service which is often boisterous and rushed. But what they lack in service and décor they make up for in quality and quantity. A taste of their belly pork on steaming hot rice or Ho Fun noodles with beef and egg dishes and all is forgiven. These along with their various noodle soups and pancake rolls make Wong Kei a memorable place. Service is fast, portions are more than generous and with most main meals under a fiver you can't complain too much can you? Wong Kei is perfect for a snappy lunchtime meal during the week or a quick hunger stop during a weekend shopping trip. If you become a regular (like me!) you'll find the seemingly severe staff are actually capable of a smile from time to time, and on some very rare occasions, a song!”

“rude & abusive bouncer ruined the evening. I was there with some friends last night, great cocktails & lovely venue. shame about the rude & abusive security tho with no respect of others, one of the security guards, he kept pushing people around and threatening to kick customer out. would not have stayed & spend money if it wasn't my friends bday party. don't think I will ever go back.”

“I just visited the London Sky Bar on Saturday and I call say is wow. I have never been to a club like that. The music was excellent, as were the cocktails. The creations they have for partyers like me were swank. I think the exquisiteness of the bar is inviting and the experience is just ultra cool. It takes clubbing to a whole new level. I heard they have VIP memberships that get you even more party and you get a glass of moet at the bar. I will definitely pre-book my tickets for the VIP experience next time, which will be very, very soon.”

“I was excited about visiting the Brasserie. I've heard rave reviews about it from friends who've had their food, and I had to visit myself to see what all the fuss was about and let me tell you - Altitude has done it again. I had the reuben burger and the melon and ham salad they've got. The melon was fresh and tasted sweet and the pickles and onions on the burger were absolutely a brilliant move on Altitude's part. Now when I visit I won't know whether to eat at the Brasserie or go up to the top and dine at 360. They both are excellent - bravo to Altitude for such fine cuisine.”

The Gun, Canary Wharf (Bar / Restaurant)
“Great food and a fantastic atmosphere and setting! I visited The Gun with my boyfriend on a Wednesday Friday night. The place has a great buzz with lots of different areas. There were lots of Canary Wharf 'suits' in the bar areas and on the terrace but all were friendly. They also have an outdoor restaurant that opens in the summer which serves Portuguese food. We really loved the food, really interesting flavours and ingredients and all perfectly cooked. My boyfriend had the kid which was really tender. Overall a lovely place which we will definitely come back to.”

“A lovely little al fresco court setting down a quaint little hidden lane. On a beautifully sunny day in The City this is a fantastic Italian restaurant for business meetings or Italian wine-induced boozey afternoons. Excellent wine list, jovial service, simple and fresh ingredients, no pretense.”

“We would like to say a BIG Thank you to Hannah, Ollie, Sam and all the staff at Imbibe bar. We held our wedding reception at the bar on 23rd July, where we had 63 guests for canapés and a champagne reception in the garden followed by a sit down 3 course meal and a BBQ in the evening. We had more guests arriving in the evening for the DJ which went through to 2am. The day and night was perfect and run so smoothly the venue looked amazing and the food was lovely and the portions were very generous everyone complimented the chef and all the staff on their hard work. The staff done a great job in making sure everyone’s glasses were topped up in the garden and throughout the meal. I would defiantly recommend the bar to anyone who is looking to hold a party or gathering there especially for a wedding reception, the bar flows so nicely out into the garden and has a good sized dance floor. Thank you for making our day so perfect!! Paul and Michele (Mr and Mrs Bestley) x”

“Having been to the London Sky Bar many times before, I had to go again, this time I took a few of my buddies who were in London on holiday and showed them a good time on the town. It's so much more than a club, like they say. I reserved a table for us and orderd up some cocktails and we had a nice time. The bar itself takes the club experience to brand new levels with its whole mood and the nice seating and Djs.DJ Rhett Bixler was there this time, there are so many that frequent the place. My lady friend got her cocktail complementary. We arrived around 11 or so and stayed til we couldn't stay anymore. I don't think I've danced that much.”
