“I have been living in Southfields for a little over 3 years and I must say that Vida Loca is a refreshing change to the pubs that are dotted around the area. My housemates and I attended the opening night and have been going back on a regular basis ever since, introducing our friends to it and everyone is in agreement that at the moment it is the best place for a cheaky drink and chilled night out. The staff is freindly, the service is good and price wise, Vida Loca has always impressed me. They have very good cocktails and specials that run on different nights. I highly recommend Vida to anyone that is thinking of going there, whether it be for a meal with friends or cocktails and Desperados after work.”

“Coming into work, going home to "work". There's always that pub in the station for a swifty. This one isn't like the rest, mind. The Betjeman Arm's likeable soul is so well expressed in the thoughtful and calming decor, the location inside the grand old St Pancras Hotel and the quality gastro-selection that doesn't normally come with a transit-pub. Leaving work and going to the pub.”

“I absolutely love going to Vida Loca, it's almost like my second home! The music is fantastic and the atmosphere offers the best of both worlds - chilled out and beach like in the summer, while warm and cosy in the winter!”

“Interesting to note all the positive comments come from men and of course there is nothing wrong with that. I've had some great nights there with my men pals. However, it's only great if they will always go to the bar for you, cause if you're a woman you either won't get served by the bar staff or you'll get such attitude you'll wish you had of gone somewhere else. Note to bar staff Misogyny is such an unattractive trait..”

“What an awesome Saturday out! I was told by my friend to check this place out and I was really impressed. The DJ played Playing a of old and new Reggae, Soul, Funk, Disco, Hip Hop, R&B - intending to make this place a regular. I didnt enjoy the hangover the next day, but that always happens on the best nights.”

“Ok the location of this pub is fantastic, but not priceless and the cost of the pints they serve are extortionate! Shame.”

“A really great place in Covent Garden - head and shoulders above the majority of the other choices in the area. The food was even better than expected, staff friendly but attentive and a really lovely dining room. Have been there for brunch (an event - plan ahead and don't eat for at least 12 hours before you go, there's so much choice!) and dinner which was really nice too. Will definitely return.”

“Having stumbled across this pub from a day out in london, it could not of ended a fantastic day any better. It was worth waiting a couple of mins for a seat to get more comfortable. We had planned on moving on to a restaurant but lost track of time. Will definitely go back again.”

“What a corker! Recently discovered this restaurant. Such a great local find. Worth making the effort to come from further afield, even thinking about having a birthday do here, as it's such a nice place. Fresh yummy food (pizza, pasta, salads) with tasty daily specials. Friendly staff, attentive - not overly so, relaxed atmosphere, fantastic value. Will become a regular haunt for me now!”

The Red Lion, Barnes & Sheen (Bar / Restaurant)
“We had to endure a day's worth of rounders on Barn Elms pitches (firm's charity fundraiser ), we were then herded off to the nearest pub, which, in this case, was the Red Lion. It turned a very long and hard day into a most pleasurable experience, a BBQ was laid on for us and we relaxed in the summer rain underneath a heated -NON SMOKING! , patio canopy. very nice. The Red Lion resembles a gastro pub upon first impressions but when you spend some time there you realise that it is not another wanabee gastro all, it is infact a lovely well kept pub, with excellent staff, surroundings & food. We will definatly add it onto our list of places to frequent for the future. All that running around today paid off after all !!”
