All Star Lanes, City of London (Bar / Restaurant)
“Loved, loved, loved, loved, loved All Star Lanes in Holborn.
We initially visited with the intent to havec a few drinks and a game of bowling but after salivating from the smells emitting from the kitchen, and seeing the empty plates being cleared from the tables, we decided to eat. Definitely made the right decision and even went for a pud!
The venue was equally as good as the food and the atmosphere was incredible, bowling obviously ignites a happy aura!
All Star Lanes can count on me to become a regular!”

The Antelope, Tooting (Bar)
“Tooting is fast becoming a trendy area to live. The Antelope is proof of this. A former old man's hideout, it has been taken over by some people who know what they're doing: good pub pub, loads of comfy seating, a nifty little beer garden, plus loads of cool events. And the beer selection is varied. One of the best gastropubs in South London.”

Monsieur M., Shoreditch (Restaurant)
“Discovered this place recently, having been invited there for a birthday party! Loved the food, very attentive service, great value for money! The bar being the centre piece of the restaurant gives it a great feeling. They also do amazing cocktails, which at £6.00 are a bargain. Like the fact that they kept some of the old features of the victorian building, such as the original handwash basins in the toilets. Will definitely be back for more!”

ScooterCaffe, Waterloo (Bar)
“This is my go-to place when I am trying to show off my London knowledge because no one has ever heard of it but once there love it! The staff always seem like they have stepped out of the 60s, complete with stripy tops and bouffant hair. There is always someone tapping away at a laptop (presumably writing a novel or a short thesis on representations of gender in post-modern chillean literature). Basically its just really cool. Enjoy”

Rupert Street, Soho (Bar)
“Hello, I would like to say that the point in going to this bar which I use to go for years occationally was to relax and fell free after work, I felt intimidating by going to the toilet and been shout by a menber of staff to wash your hands!!!! been followed by a security with out doing nothing been acussed of having sex or drugs just because I spent 5 minutes on the toilet .For me is harrasment, not only that is been treat with not manners. Agresive behaviour very negative sigs for gay people.”

Gazette Brasserie, Battersea (Bar / Restaurant)
“Firstly the location, don't come here unless you like parking at the back of a dodgy industrial estate and hunting for the restaurant amongst blocks of flats. We arrived for our meal and were told there was no record of our booking despite booking by phone at lunchtime that day. It turned out that someone at the restaurant had booked us in for the wrong time on the wrong day. Thankfully it was a Wednesday and not too busy so there was room for us. In the course of sitting down and being offered drinks we were spoken to by three different waiters and rushed in to ordering wine. Having ordered the steak we were kept waiting 45 minutes as all waiters that night (under-staffed) were serving two large groups. There is no excuse for this as a large group would have booked in advance so the restaurant should have laid on more staff. When our meals turned up I was thoroughly disappointed - sitting next to some limp salad with a vinegar dressing was a piece of overcooked tough steak.”

Adventure Bar Clapham Junction, Clapham (Bar)
“Probably one of the best bars in London, if you like good music, drinks and people..
I like this bar as it's not just another boring style bar full of mannequins. We always have a good time here, because of the good atmosphere. The place does what is says on the can, it has all the elements for a great night, without poncing it up. I think they have all you need: simply a Bar with good bartenders and DJs playing good music, great!”

The Angelic, Angel & Islington (Bar)
“I'd say that the biggest pro for this pub is its proximity to Islington Academy. To be fair, the food I had was good (pretty average) but very overpriced. AS per the post below, it's very hard to get a seat, let alone table. All in all, a pretty average pub that does the job, but not a lot more than that”
