The best curry house in Brick Lane! The curry and nans were amazingly cooked. Hats off to the chef! Had a fantastic lunch on Sunday. More Atmosphere: Value: Quality:

“One of the worst restaurants I have ever visited. The food over here is horrible. I ordered chicken wings as starters, biryani and butter chicken with naan as main course. I felt the starter was ok but when it came to main course biryani, I never ate such a worst biryani, oh sorry i dont think i suppose to call that biryani, but some rice for which they added some pickle and the butter chicken is un-describably tastless and the popodams which they gave in the begining without ordering turned out to be charged. Entire experience was very disappointing.”

“Love what the owners have done With the pub, wonderful revamp makes the place more inviting; however, overpriced food and drink lets it down, £3.30 for a pint of coke (which was two thirds ice) and £8.50 for a burger which didn't come with any salad or chips included in the price is not value fr money, especially as other pubs within the area offer more. It's a shame because the pub really is so much more inviting now.”

“This cocktail bar was just renovated a while back and it's very cool and very comfortable inside. The bartenders here are great and the atmosphere was even fantastic, all tables are well designed with a stained glass mirror at the top of a mahogany styled wall. would highly recommend. ”

“Just read Harry Morris 's review and hope he sees this as my dad was Albert's uncle. We stayed with him and Bridget in the pub in 1962. I recently revisited and it is still a great traditional pub. Harry if you see this please get in touch. Edna”

“This was supposed to be a 3 course meal with Tagine buffet for £20. Had a glass of coke, about two pieces of chicken and lamb with some couscous and a fruit smoothie for £25. Chicken/lamb was average - smoothie was good. Waited over an hour for the food and the staff were very unhelpful and frankly quite rude in the beginning. I would not visit this place again. ”

“This place totally rocked! Had a blast despite the rude bouncers but nothing to talk ill about; kids could get on anyone's bad side. However the music was slamming and I was wrecked; so piss off and party on! Had a blast with my mates! We definitely come again.”

“Steaks were ordered from a fly infested example of raw meats. Should have walked then as it is easy to place a see thru cover over the meat to stop flies crawling over it? Six of us sat down for the meal. To date three of us have diarrhea and sickness. Need to find out about the others possibly they are also on the toilet. Argintinian beef is boasted at this restaurant. The six steaks ranging from rib eye to fillet were tough as old boots, gristly and very very chewy. I'm going to stick to Aberdeen Angus which is less costly and more delicious and tender. This place is not for me. The staff are charming”

“BackCounter is a great discovery in Vauxhall. We went on a Friday night. We had great cocktails, especially the Notre Dame was fantastic. The cocktails have Soho prices, but they are also very strong. There is no watering down, so they are totally worth the money. Our waiter, Pablo, was great and also very easy on the eye. To top it up they had a DJ playing great releaxed house. What more could one want.”

“This place is a con. Shafted my partner out of £12,000 for a private show (nowt else, and even then, I wouldn't expect it to be £12,000)! Looking at other reviews, £600 seems to be the highest con. Other reviews say the girls steal from you too. All very sleazy and poorly run. Money is all they care about, not value for customers! Police were involved in my partner's scam!”

““ABSOLUTELY DREADFUL” 1 of 5 stars Pending review A group of four of us dropped into this establishment last wed for lunch. We were impressed by the style & cleanliness& the fact that the staff took our drinks & food order at the table.Uhfortunately 20 mins later things started to go wrong We were informed by the waiter that they were unable to make the sandwiches as they had no avocado This was at 1pm ???We revised the orders to steak sandwiches. After 25 mins I asked what had happened to the drinks.Thew waiter sated that the "ticket" had been lost & he would personally prepare them.Drinks duly arrived. After 3/4 of an hour the steaks arrived They consisded of 4 slices of plain white bread with miniscule pieces of thin beef served cold with piles of onion on top. .The waiter returned to ask us about our meal,We responded saying steak should be served hot not ice cold & additionally it was gristly .The gristle was on display on one of the plates.I advised him that he neede to tell "The Management" that these problems needed addressing. He duly returned & said the chef had told him the meat was cold as it had been put in a "Marinade" I have never heard of anything so ridiculous .No comment was made regarding the "gristle"What planet are these people from ??We directed our complaint for management to address. They failed to see us personally Complaints are for management to resolve they are paid to deal with complaints. You don't put that responsibility on the serving staff they are not paid for it.Unfortunately its becoming more & more evident management keep out of the way of complaints .The prices charged in this establishment are high .Thats fine if the service & quality of food are good .Here its not so .My suggestion is that the "Management" go to Weatherspoons & learn a few basic lessons .We wont be back take my advice "Avoid" Visited June 2016 ”

“I had my first curry in 1967 a year after it opened. I then went overseas for 11 years and to my delight upon my return to Fulham my curry house was still there, but now larger the sons of the owner were all grown up and to my delight again thy remembered me. Now the Grandsons are in charge and are carrying on with quality in every aspect of the modern eating house, great food, great beer and wine, great team and great service.”
