Christopher's, West End (Bar / Restaurant)
“We were absolutely delighted with the entirety of our experience at Christophers. We had the early pre - theatre menu, and loved every morsel! The tomato soup was simple and stunning, really superb. We were only going to have two courses, buy the quality of the food prompted the ordering of dessert. The chocolate brownie with bourbon vanilla ice-cream was suitably decadent and melted in the mouth.
The service was really outstanding. We will most certainly return.”

Da Spago, Chelsea (Restaurant)
“Just only recently found this lovely restaurant hidden in a little corner of South Ken while I was passing by with some friends.. food was excellent (had octopus carpaccio as starter, so yummy, a delicious seabass for main), the atmosphere was great, the service attentive. All reasonably priced. We'll definetly come back again!”

The Clarence, Westminster (Bar / Restaurant)
“Visited quite early in the day so can't judge the crowd. However, this pub provides a nice change from the usual chains of el-fako "A Traditional British Pub" venues that seem to dominate this area. Go upstairs to the Pol Roger room, cleverly decorated with Winston Churchill memorabilia (Pol Roger was his fave tipple). It's also got a lovely view across Whitehall and the menu looks yum!”

Ajanta Tandoori, Shepherds Bush (Restaurant)
“have frequented Ajanta Tandoori for the past 5 years since living in Shepherds Bush. The food is traditional and absolutely delicious! The service is fantastic (food bought to table on a trolley!), family run and the owner is very friendly. Try the non-vegetarian Thali for a huge meal on a budget- its great!”

Sugar Cane, Clapham (Bar / Restaurant)
“I had a brilliant birthday in here in 2008 and only wish I had booked the same for this year. The manager is brilliant and couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly when we discussed the booking. The bar is small but not tiny and the area we reserved was big enough to accommodate my guests without being too crowded. The outside area is nice as well. The bar is designed by the same people as Mahiki but don’t expect to pay ridiculous west end prices! The cocktails are very good and very well priced. My only gripe is the toilets are downstairs but there are enough and they are very clean. I would recommend this place to anyone.”

“6 of us had dinner at Tatra as a birthday celebration. The food was very good, just like polish food I had in Krakow. The service was impeccable and it was amazing value for money. We'll certainly be going back”

Brasserie Gerard, Hampstead (Restaurant)
“I have previously eaten at Chez Gerard. The Haverstock Hill 'Chez Gerard' is a misnoma by any standards.
I gave it one star because nothing lower is available - it deserves a zero.
I have not in recent times had a worse meal anywhere north of the river. Escalope of chicken - not available. The tagliatelle with 'fresh vegetables' were over-heated pasta clearly with hardly a vegetable but very generous drenched in third rate tomatoe sauce.
The 'Belgian Waffle' was an item of stodgy dough vaguely in the shape of a waffle, covered accompanied by the cheapest bottled chocolaste sauce and tasteless icecream imaginable.
The only saving feature: a charming young continental waiter whose keeness and skills were clearly wasted in this establishment.”

Bumbles Restaurant, Victoria (Restaurant)
“I lunched here last Friday with two others. The place is fine and the staff likewise, not sure about the food though! Two of us ordered rib eye steak, done medium. It arrived already sliced into pieces, why? Im always wary when steak arrives like this, what are they hiding? It was cetainly not a medium cooked steak and I would swear it was not rib eye. I sent mine back for more cooking and when it came back it was just the same ie rare/medium rare. Its certainly not an inexpensive restaurant”

YO! Sushi, Notting Hill (Restaurant)
“The food was really tasty. Even greater than my love for sushi is my love for inexpensive sushi. Was a bit grossed out when the waitress had to remove bits of dried out noodles from two different menus as she explained to us how the coloured plate system works though.”

Kanaloa, City of London (Bar / Club)
“I remember this place when it used to be Alibi and wow (!), what a change. They've spent some serious wonga on the refurb but they're making their money back charging at every opportunity. The cocktails are great though and as theme bars goes, this is up there. Ladies, you will love it.”
