“Amazing! This is like a cool jazz club out of a movie or something. The club is absolutely beautiful and the music was great! However the food lets the place down - my "gourmet burger" turned out to be the very cheapest burger you would get from a burger van and the chips were soggy - for £15! The wine was a bit iffy too. The atmosphere was so awesome though I will be going again.”

“I will never go here again. We met up with some friends for a drink. We were also all pretty hungry and when we went to order the food they didn't have salads or pizza on the menu! Unbelievable. So our whole group had to go for burgers. I wanted a cocktail but it took so long to make. The place is really rubbish, and I wouldn't waste your time here. Old Street and Hoxton have way too many other good places to go to.”

“I have lived almost next door to this pub for the last 11 years and my partner for the last 38 years. We come here almost every day but we are becoming more and more reluctant to come here. It is so cold here tonight I went home to get the thermometer. it is presently 16%C and here we are gloves and scarves . I believe the heating has been broken for the last 3 days, however it really seems to be little warmer when the heating is allegedly on.
I have to say that the staff are the reason we still come here. I suggest you lose some of the higher window area with blinds or whatever and get the heating fixed. Cheers!”

“I visited Browns 20 years ago and liked the place. I have been going back three times a year since.
The atmosphere is good and friendly, the beer is the average price in London.
The girls were 90% British when i first visited 20 years ago,
Now unfortunately they are often 70% eastern european or Indonesian or Indian
which is personally not what I want to see.
Or they have boob jobs.
What happened to the lind Lusardi type girl, British and 100% natural.
I met linda Lusardi once, a beautiful girl on the outside and a beautiful girl on the inside, full of fun too - great.

“This cosy pub opposite the Liverpool Street station is obviously over run with workers from the City of London who are waiting for their train home back to the Shires. It's completely made of wood and feels almost as though you're drinking a pint on the galleon of an old ship. Lots of nooks and crannies and even a Vault where I believe they have comedy once a week. Good Youngs ales on tap. A few TVs for sports fans.”

“I come to London from NYC every few months on business and have done for a few years, and only last year found the Goodge St bar by accident.
I immediately fell in love as the service team is great, the drinks are up there with the best I have had (I drink in lots of bars around the world) and the atmosphere is electric every time! A real party bar.
I got a personal email from one of the owners after I had met him last time I was in town telling me about the new one. As I was back in town a week after I thought id give it a try. Wow, what a great bar, very different in style but with the way they turn the party up there I felt back in the mood!
The cocktails are different at the new one but equally as good. The staff again are second to none, really know their stuff and are quick with a smile. I think one of them even remembered my face from Goodge street, impressive.
The music, just like the other one, sets the scene to have a seriously good time!
I tell all my friends to head down to one of them when they are in town and would recommend it to anybody to make it your local... no matter how far away you live!”
