The Bishop 25-27 Lordship Lane, East Dulwich, Dulwich, London, SE22 8EW (Map)

Get a life Ken, you raging alcoholic. Leffe is served in half pints universally because it's even stronger than your average wife-beater. And you're complaining 'cos they wouldn't do you a pint? You must... More Atmosphere: Value: Quality:

Cafe Cairo, Clapham (Bar / Restaurant)
“I love this place, and have been a couple of times. Really quirky, and something different to take people to when they come to visit. Would recommend Cafe Cairo for an unusual evening out, some interesting music and some tasty Sheesha!”

Blue Junction, Wimbledon (Bar / Restaurant)
“What a great place. Great food, friendly service, good atmosphere and not full of the usual bar flys. Have to say I rate this higher than the awful Canary Wharf pubs even. Still needs to take off though. Watched a 'Black Elvis' night there recently which was good entertainment. Have booked my birthday party there now. Having bought in Morden, I can tell you it is far more peaceful and less chavvy than the over-inflated W and SW postciodes that are our 'affluent' neighbours. A hidden gem.”

“The pesto tomato burger was quite good, and the beer choices excellent. Contrary to what others have said about the decor I found it to be quite warm and relaxing. It was a nice way to spend a Friday early evening.”

3 Oceans, Finchley (Bar / Restaurant)
“A horrible experience. The waiting staff were rude, arrogant and unprofessional. The food was adequate but with so much competition with in the local area Im surprised this venue is managing to survive. The general atmosphere was spoiled by the compliancy of staff not providing a professional service. Value for money, definitely not! Once we finished our meal we asked the waiter if we could do a takeaway for the remaining food and was advised quite rudely that no one is allowed to take home food, when asked again, I was advised to bring my own takeaway cartons which is off great surprise considering they offer a takeaway service. I asked to speak to the manager and make an official compliant about their rudeness and service and was advised that I was talking to the Manager. When I asked for his name I was refused saying you just address your complaint to 3 Oceans. Later, we were advised my other customers that the person I spoke to was not the Manager. Its not surprising the Police were in attendance the same night after one waiter was being verbally abusive to a young family. Avoid this venue at all costs unless you want appalling food being served by rude staff.”

“Only been on mondays but its wicked - well priced drinks, loads of entertainment as the bartenders flair to each other with the odd btl dropped and as for the opening to open mic magic, better than the original. Need to say more best bar in Covent Garden keep it up guys.”

Hookah Lounge, Shoreditch (Bar)
“The Hookah Lounge is a lovely laid back place. Great place to get something to eat during the week and usually pretty packed on a Friday or Saturday. Stick around, chill out on one of the low comfy Morroccan sofas and enjoy a smoke on a hookah.”

The Cut Bar & Restaurant, Waterloo (Bar / Restaurant)
“If you are looking for a new type of venue with an ecclectic, good-looking crowd, this is the new hang-out on the South Bank. As its set within the new Young Vic Theatre building, you get a creative vibe, set off by great music, a bar on two levels with an outside terrace next to an upstairs cocktail bar. This is the real gem, the upstairs bar feels exclusive and the barmen really know their stuff. Food was just what you feel like at the end of a busy day...either easy healthy snacks or fish and chips. At last, Waterloo finally has a bar which can match any other north of the river.”
