Sitaaray 167 Drury Lane, Holborn, Covent Garden, London, WC2B 5PG (Map)
They've really made the effort to bring a bit of bollywood magic to this place. It's certainly different to the average indian restaurant and i've eaten in about 1,000. Its pretty cheap too, good value... More

Boyds Grill & Wine Bar, West End (Bar / Restaurant / Hotel)
“Spent an evening here with friends celebrating a birthday, good feel with great service. The menu needs a bit of work as it's full of the usual suspects, that could have been done better. Would definately recommend it, for a relaxed dinning experience. The bar needs a refit though.”

The Coat and Badge - Youngs, Putney (Bar / Restaurant)
“A lovely secluded beer garden right near the Thames. What a find. A true hidden gem of a pub. When the weather is sunny and the Pimm's are cold, this is a lovely place to crash for the afternoon. Comfy seats, good tunes, and a great wine list. I will be back.”

Tamada, Maida Vale & St Johns Wood (Restaurant)
“My every visit at Tamada starts with a glass of red wine (Saperavi) and only then I start considering what to order this time. Since I have tried almost every dish they have on their menu, the choice is not easy because I love almost every single dish, but I also know that it would not be wise to order too much. The servings are big enough and really filling.
But if you have a family or friends accompanying you than I would recommend to get a variety of dishes and then to share them for richer Georgian food experience.
For starters my absolute favourites are: Badrijani (walnut staffed aubergines), Ispanaki (steamed spinach balls with herbs and walnuts) and Khachapuri (cheese bread). For main course I usually get Chaqapuli (lamb casserole) or Chashushul.
After having few more glasses of wine I certainly will not leave the restaurant without having a cup of Georgian coffee and piece of walnut cake - Ideali. And I certainly will be back quite soon...
Highly recommended”

Made In Brasil, Camden (Bar / Restaurant)
“I actually went to the basement bar of this Camden hangout for the after-party of a band that was playing over the road at The Electricity Rooms. The band came down after the show and everyone danced to old school indie hits until the early hours. A great time, although the choice of beers wasn't fantastic.”

Charlie Wright's Music Lounge, Shoreditch (Bar)
“I have spent 5 minutes in this bar because the group that was supposed to play tonight ("Big Mama's Door") somehow was not playing. I would not be this much annoyed if I had not checked the program just before I left home but I did and the band was on! Now I'm looking at their web site and it claims that "Big Mama's Door" is playing tomorrow night. So they change the program just like that, no explanations no apologies. Besides why should I believe that it's actually on tomorrow night? I wouldn't be back even if Michael Jackson rised up from his grave and performed (a)live here.”

The Golden Oven, Soho (Restaurant)
“The Golden Oven in Soho was excellent for a pre theatre Dinner. Unfancy, traditional honest food without the grease and boring options that let most other Indian restaurants down. The Waiter simply recommended a dish of mixed fish (wasn't on the menu - couldn't decide as spoilt for choice). The recommendation was excellent - clean, fresh well executed food with a personal touch to the service. Will Return.”

“I like going to this pub during the day when there's nobody there. They have free wifi, great tunes, and the sandwich menu is fairly decent. I recommend the spiced herb falafel with hummus and rocket. It's a beast!”

Hat and Tun, Clerkenwell (Bar / Restaurant)
“If you want a nice quiet lunch in a pub full of character with great food then you can't go wrong with the Hat & Tun. I think it might be my favourite pub and restaurant in London let alone Clerkenwell! The staff are always so efficient, they're obviously used to busy lunches! It's just what you need when you're aware you need to get back to the office! Have a pie, trust me, you won't regret it!”

Passing Clouds, Dalston (Club)
“AMAZING club! Atnosphere is pumped, music is hot and the people are cool! All manner of different and interesting peeps to get chatting to over the funk/soul/reggae/dub live music - bumped in to the writer of Submarine last week! One of my favourite clubs in the whole of London!”

Eco, Clapham (Bar / Restaurant)
“My buddy and I went here last night. It was a Monday and we booked using some special half price deal, which I'd totally recommend. We both had excellent aubergine starters and then sizeable mains. He had a glass of wine and I had a Coke and the bill only came to about £20 between us. Bargain of the century! I also recommend swapping the penne for gnocchi - at no extra cost - it works a treat. Cute waitresses too.”

“Went to Key of Life at Egg this weekend. Very cool and unique party and the club itself suited the event brilliantly. Loads of different rooms to get lost in and a wicked terrace.
Will definitely be going back, specially with the summer approaching!”
