Ping Pong Southbank, Waterloo (Bar / Restaurant)
“Great food and reasonably priced (given the location). Our only gripe was the service: several times it took 10+ minutes for drinks to arrive after ordering (quite a feat considering we were ordering bottled beer). The waiting staff are masters at ignoring "please may I have some service" hand waving.”

Las Iguanas Southbank, Waterloo (Bar / Restaurant)
“A great bar in the summer when you can spill out over the pavement, but when we visited last night (a cold March evening) we were a little disappointed. The place was emptying after dinner and there were a number of free tables. When we asked if our party of six could sit at one of these we were told no. Instead we were directed to huddle around a small table by the door (freezing every time the door was opened). To make matters worse we were told we had to collect our own chairs from outside. The bar staff had stripped down the bar by 10.30 and the overall impression was they didn't want our business. I guess, during winter months, they are only interested in diners. Shame as they do a good margarita.”

Nanobyte (closed), Soho (Bar)
“There is nothing good about this bar. Then again, there isn't much bad about it either (apart from the toilets that were in urgent need of a refit). On this whole, this venue feels like it's treading water until someone can come up with a better idea of how to use the space. If KwikFit made bars they'd have made Nanobyte.”

Pukka, Streatham & Norbury (Bar / Restaurant)
“"The food at this place is really tasty." I should know because I am either the venue's PR company, an employee or I own the establishment. "The flavours are authentic and the whilst the food always takes a little to arrive, I know it's been freshly cooked and the cuts of meat are succulent and quality." Hey, check out my brown nose! I mean who, besides someone on the payroll, would use the word 'succulent' in a 'customer' review? "Occasionally it can be a little on the oily side, but they seem like an accommodating and friendly family run place, so I'm sure they could cook it anyway you'd like." A veiled attempt at making the review sound authentic by including a minor criticism that's instantly offset with some more ass kissing. Aren't they just so perfect? "The best bit is the price..." Advert alert! Advert alert! Advert alert! "They do great discounts for takeaways early in the week,..." Have you no shame? "...but generally the cost is brilliant - a biryani with acoompanying veg curry is about £6 and it's big enough to serve 2 quite easily." And what a surprise - five stars across the board. Excuse me if I give you zeros to level things out. Get a life! PS - I ate here (no, really I did - 17 times) so this review should stand.”
