“Possibly the coolest unknown bar-cafe-general hangout in London. If you weren't cool before, a visit to The Russet will take care of that.”

“British tapas back at school. With an alfresco decking section. What a peculiar mix, but it works. Great lengths to make the decor work. Enjoyable menu too. All appetite sizes catered for. Lots of fun.”

“Much better as a bar than a restaurant. If you like quirky hidden gems, this is the bar for you. Love the secret roof terrace too.”

“Cannot fault this restaurant. Such a unique setting and vibe. The staff are absolutely lovely, the back section is gorgeous, the tunes are fab, and the food is of very high quality. A real find.”

“A superb restaurant for a spot of tapas in south London. All the dishes use Spanish ingredients (hence the price) so the taste is authentic. The variety is outstanding too. Not like your normal Spanish tapas joint. Sticks to the basics.”

“The upstairs restaurant is quick and cosy and serves a variety of the same thing over and over. Whatever you order, it'll come loaded with guacamole, beans, cheese, lettuce etc etc. It's decent, but not in the same league as Wahaca. The decor is cool though and the staff are lively. The real reason to come here is the hidden downstairs bar, the Pink Chihuahua. What a find! Open late, so all the bar workers in Soho come here. Massive array of cocktails and tequilas and some nice refreshing beers to boot. The tunes are awesome too. Will interest all the boys and girls who like boys (bit of sausage fest) but the atmosphere is really friendly.”

“Terrible bar. A fiver to get in and then once inside, realise it's practically a sauna. So so hot. The weird layout is probably the only thing it has going for it. The music is naff chart stuff with the odd 'latin' sounding tune thrown in to keep it on theme. Nice girls though.”

“I haven't actually eaten here yet but I intend to. The bright modern interior of this beautiful old building make it an enticing stop off restaurant for dinner near Kings Cross. We chose to down a couple of pints (limited selection) and sit alfresco on one of the little tables outside. Quite the hidden gem.”

“The upstairs bar and the cosy alfresco roof terrace make this bar one of my fave pubs to hang out near Kings Cross station. A couple of decent ales on tap. Limited bar snacks.”

“Huge portions, lovely decor, airy and spacious, well crafted breakfasts, wifi available, this is the ideal location for a business meeting in west London. Love it.”

“This is a Sam Smith's pub so be warned, they only sell Sam Smith products. Luckily, I like Sam Smith's but anyone searching for a Guinness might be disappointed. The service is a tad slow at the bar but the same staff are excellent at clearing away empty glasses. If you like nooks and crannies and hidden booths and secret alfresco beer garden patios, then this is the pub for you. Perfect for a cosy pint before heading off into the West End for a show, or a pre-gig loader if you're heading for Somerset House in the summer.”

“An excellent range of independent ales, and premium lagers, plus, it's main attraction, the alfresco area outside where the West End's finest gather for a post-work, or pre-theatre pint before going to the Lyceum next door to see the Lion King or over the road to Somerset House to an outdoor gig or summer cinema screening.”

“Somebody with a creative flair has obviously had a hand in the reincarnation of this bar. The decor is really quirky and there's so much going on you'll never be short of talking points. The cocktails are reasonably priced and inventive in their ingredients and presentation. They are quite sweet or sour, though, but this is probably a ploy to get more ladies through the door, and it seems to be working. Professionals of 30 upwards will probably like this south London cocktail bar more than younguns.”
