Fluid Reviews

The Legless Frog, Richmond & Kew (Bar / Restaurant)
“This used to be a charming Old Worldy Pub where going for a drink was a pleasure. I have been coming here for over 10 years and it the last 2 years in has deteriorated beyond recognition in every aspect. It is now dirty, the staff don't care less, the real ale is nearly undrinkable and they insist on playing loud piped music so you cannot talk without shouting. I complained about the beer but the attitude was rude and uncooperative to say the least. I shall not be returning in a hurry and now go to the much more friendly New Inn down the road.”

The Cardinal, Kingston (Bar)
“A less atmospheric pub you cannot imagine. it should be very much a local but is lacking in most aspect, a point born out by how empty it is. The beer is mediocre but basically the shape of the pub is all round with a long bar going the length of the saloon and public bar. On a plus note the seating is comfortable and best night to go there is on quiz night Wednesday which is entertaining.”

The Albert, Kingston (Bar)
“A real traditional pub which is comfortable and serves excellent food. A Youngs house serving good beer and the place has character. friendly with a nice atmosphere and no music blasting out.”

New Inn, Richmond & Kew (Bar)
“A well run traditional English pub that only has background music so customers can converse freely. The staff are smartly dressed, attentive and friendly. The pub itself is clean and serves excellent foods which does tend to be a little expensive but is very tasty. They serve an excellent selection of real ales, and have a good choice of wines. It tends to attract customers ranging from 25 to 70 wanting a quiet drink. Only one word of caution smoking is allowed at the bar and whilst waiting to be served a customer was sitting on a bar stool blowing smoke which I found unpleasant, otherwise top rating. ”
