“I continue to love Joe Allen's from when I first stepped into this slice of New York right in the heart of London, more than thirty years ago. Out of town friends who visit for the first time, always say how great the food and atmosphere is and the maitre d and staff are welcoming, whatever the time of day or night.”

“We have been over the years to Joe Allen's several times. The food is excellent; staff waiting tables friendly and ultra efficient. The pre-theatre menu is limited but if you stick to it great value. Wines are pricey even by London standards. Remove the service charge and tip your waiter personally - the restaurant retains some of the tip otherwise. We like Joe Allens - just learn as you go. The hamburger is not on the menu but is available. Ditto Petit Fours - well our waiter found some!”

“What a great place, homely yet very chic. Food amazing, and surprisingly reasonable. We had some of the specials, before we went to the theatre. Not at all pretentious. The staff were terrific, so we did leave a good tip. Saw Keira Knightley in here, it has to be said she is so unpretentious its unbelievable and stunning to boot.”
