Cafe de Paris is currently celebrating 80 years of divine decadence and continues to host some of the most extraordinary nights in town. Their in-house flagship Friday and Saturday nights play a euphoric mix of commercial R’n’B and funky house, whilst their gorgeous go-go’s and stunning shows always raise the roof..... and pulse rates.
The Kitsch Lounge Riot is their monthly Rat Pack extravaganza, recently joined by MTV Base Lounge, which is transmitted across Europe from the main floor every month.
Everyone from Princess Margaret to Prince has partied under the dazzling chandelier in the Cafe de Paris, whilst the redesign of their VIP rooms, with the outrageous bedroom area, has lured the likes of Kelis, Christian Slater and Will Young onto the red velvet sheets.
Dine with the spirits of the Golden Age of Hollywood at the Cafe de Paris award-winning restaurant, whose famous guests have included Frank Sinatra, Grace Kelly and Greta Garbo (“alone”, of course, Darling). Open every Saturday night from 6pm, and with guests welcome to stay on once the nightclub opens at 10pm, it is the perfect place for a romantic meal for two, a birthday party, a get-together with a group of friends or a business celebration. Live cabaret completes the experience of grand glamour from a bye-gone age.

“We went to the Friday night cabaret showcase, La Reve, which was excellent and I challenge anyone to find better value for money in the West End. Fantastic burlesque, singing and comedy acts all night. The food was average though so I'd suggest just going for drinks and the show.”

“i came here on a night out for a friend's thirtieth. to be honest, it was TOTALLY packed. my feet were aching like hell and there was no where to sit. I couldnt believe we were not allowed to move around the floor upstairs cos it was 'special access' - i imagine u had to pay to get into that area. what utter rubbish. My shoes were hurting so much so i sat down on the stair to make an adjustment and the really unfriendly staff told me i wasnt allowed to sit there. I was so annoyed. In the end, i just decided to leave. I dont think il be back.”

“I've been here several times and the experience has always been great! It's one of my favorite clubs. The music is always great and it's quite big so it doesn't get claustrophobic! Love it!”

“Went to Café de Paris for a meal & a dance to celebrate my forthcoming wedding… What a MISTAKE. They told us they opened at 6 but we had to wait until they opened at 7. The meal we ordered proved to be, at best, mediocre. For £60/head I strongly advise you to go to any of the myriad of excellent restaurants in London. Opt for somewhere where the chef knows the difference between a soufflé and a mousse, and where they have a restaurant wine list (not a “family” restaurant list at exploitative prices.) At the end of the meal the 12.5% tip was automatically added to our bill, yet the waitress became very moody about our decision not to pay her a further tip.
Next, the entertainment. Great double bassist and pianist; but the Frank Sinatra impersonator was appalling. My grandad gives a more impressive rendition after a few glasses of wine.
Finally, the club. Being a hen night, my friends had brought along a little tiara for me. We were quickly told "no headwear". I asked if I could speak to their GM. “The Manager” arrived and re-iterated what had been said. I asked if (were I a Jewish guy) they would have problems with me wearing the kippot. Their response: 1) I would be told to remove it & 2) They HAVE told people to remove their religious headwear. A most depressing end to a miserable evening.
So please. If you like good food, good wine, good service, good music or certainly if you think that people have the right to wear religious dress PLEASE BOYCOTT THIS PLACE.”

“Cafe De Paris is a really funky night if you like gorgeous surroundings and gorgeous people. the drinks are a bit pricey (but where isn't in london?) but the dance floor is huge and always packed with a funky feel and bongos in the background. the upstairs mexxanine is wicked for a more glamourous feel with its own mini bar and seats overlooking the dancefloor below, but to feel truly glamourous you have to be able to blag your way into the VIP room to the side of the bar - wicked dj and chilled atmosphere.”

“Lets start with the things it isnt: its not intimate, its not hip, its not cheap and its not easy to get in BUT despite all that its worth going to. The punters can have a bit of an attitude problem and there are only about 4 seats you can use without paying for them but the music is 'jumping, jumping' and they even lay on some podium dancers whihc is always amusing! Little tip though...go to the loo about 30 mins before you need to because the queues fors the ladies are huge even by london club standards.”
