ScooterCaffe Description

The name Scootercaffe derives from the owners obsession with the very Italian form of transport and there is much paraphernalia dotted around this cosy, backstreet Waterloo hideout that pays homage to the two-wheel monsters. There are also a couple of monsters on the premises called Stanley and Bob, the cafe's resident cats. The atmosphere is very laid back, helped in part by the small back garden terrace, the excellent fresh coffee and hot chocolate, and the vintage soundtrack which punctuates the airwaves.

Those of a nostalgic or artistic disposition will want to call this their 'hidden gem', as well as those who enjoy movies and live music; the downstairs section is a great little event space.

“This is my go-to place when I am trying to show off my London knowledge because no one has ever heard of it but once there love it! The staff always seem like they have stepped out of the 60s, complete with stripy tops and bouffant hair. There is always someone tapping away at a laptop (presumably writing a novel or a short thesis on representations of gender in post-modern chillean literature). Basically its just really cool. Enjoy”
