Pizza East Description

Located almost opposite Shoreditch High Street tube station at the main intersection of Shoreditch High Street and Bethnal Green Road, this east London pizzeria on the ground floor of the Tea Building, has a modern, open plan, industrial warehouse feel to it. The design of the interior clearly plays on the building’s industrial past, but furnishes it with a contemporary splash. Think concrete walls, exposed pipes and pillars, with steel, leather and simple tables scattered around the large room.

The menu, likewise, looks forward and back, with traditional, rustic recipes given a gourmet, and quintessentially Shoreditch, quirky twist.

“Quick, chirpy service; creative warehouse-style decor; great variety on the menu; trendy Shoreditch crowd; manageable prices; wine by the mini carafe; close to Shoreditch High Street tube station; and it's got a club downstairs. And they open quite late on a Sunday, which is great if you're on a first date looking for somewhere to nosh/drink.”
