Bar Kick Review

Absolutely fantastic. Kick is a European style cafe bar set in the heart of Hoxton. The atmosphere oozes all things continental, with Spanish sounds playing in the background and a delicious selection of foods to match. If you've been to the other venue; Cafe Kick in Farringdon then you are in for a similar treat, except this one's bigger!

Kick offers tapas style snacks and the sandwiches are well recommended. The fillings aren't of the usual variety, and the handy translation bit of the menu helps you to understand what you are ordering... sheep cheese anyone? Trust us it was lovely. There are many things about this place that make it a bit different. It is set out like a cafe but does feel like a bar, everyone is just out enjoying themselves and you don't feel like you have to be as trendy as you do in other Shoreditch bars.

Kick is also the exclusive importer and distributor for Rene Pierre fussball tables. Three tables are there for your enjoyment and you have the opportunity to hire a table for the whole evening or participate in a tournament. Kick was the first European style table football cafe and its popularity is clear. With a happy hour lasting between 4 and 7pm, early evenings are the perfect time to take in the atmosphere. Cocktails, a huge selection of bottled beers, herbal teas and wines are on offer.

Come taste the European atmosphere you won't be disappointed.

Bar Kick Description

Table football, babyfoot, foosball ... however it's known, this is one of the world's favourite games, an egalitarian and congenial sport, celebrated for building team spirit and fair play.

The UK's foremost babyfoot venue, Bar Kick has years of experience in hosting professional games, as well as organising private tournaments - events that are full of fun, with what has been described as "the boss-thrashing potential of a table footy tournament”.

Bar Kick is one of London's most unique venues. On two floors of an old Shoreditch warehouse, this is the biggest table football bar in Europe, boasting ten tables, and attracting enthusiasts from all over the world.

It's retro heaven with 1950s bar furniture and artefacts, original French Bonzini football tables, pictures and football memorabilia. Flags of all nations are suspended over Formica furniture and battered leather sofas, creating a colourful and friendly atmosphere.A wonderfully eclectic selection of music adds to the good-natured continental atmosphere.

The bar boasts a carefully-chosen list of Old World wines, a fine selection of imported beers, and superb cocktails - Mojitos and Caipirinhas are signature favourites. The lovingly-created menu offers salads, soups, sandwiches, sharing platters and daily specials with the same international flavour.

Football at Bar Kick is not a theme, but a genuine passion. While the game is taken very seriously, beginners are welcome - anyone can play, and fun is guaranteed.

"Kick is where the world meets and smiles!"

“this is the best bar in shoreditch for sure!! it has everything! when i first moved to london, i spent whole days in this bar! its a really great place to sit and relax during the day, they play lovely latin music and the coffee is wonderful. Then later on it gets really busy, and is a great place to meet people and make new friends. The food is incredible, not a lot of people know about it, but eat there...you will be very pleasantly suprised. The prices are very good for the meal you get. BarKick has everything including fussball tables. Its brilliant!”

“One of London's best bars for atmosphere - bohemian and friendly, always a quiet buzz. Quality imported beer, continental style menu with platters etc. The table football tournaments at Bar Kick are a big attraction. Gets very joyful when a big match is on screen. Top place.”

“I'm in 2 minds about telling everyone about this place, I want it all to myself, but then it wouldn't be doing this place any justice to keep quite about it. I love it here. Relaxed, easy going, fun, cool, oh you get the picture... The inside has a strange nostalgic splash to it with the furniture and bits of wall paper and the odd memorable object. The atmosphere is wonderful a real buzz here and I think the people who own it and work in it have a hint of the continent about them. The table football help supply hours of fun (as if you wouldn't have hours of it here anyway) and add to that continental feel. There is a basement as well, which I have not yet managed to get to as it always seems to be hired out. The drinks are great with happy hour making sure it all goes down well and the list of spirits, beers, wines and cocktails is just the right size so that you get a good choice to suit everyone but not over the top so you spend all day trying to decide. ”
