Donostia Description

Donostia serves food in the style of the Basque region in Northern Spain. Both tapas and pintxos, small snacks eaten in bars that are hugely popular in bars in the area, feature on the menu.

Menu highlights include Cod Cheeks in the legendary Pil-Pil Basque sauce and Crispy Tolosa-style beef tongue.

Donostia has a unique wine list focussing on Spain & France consisting of wines from small, family-run vineyards. The wine selection includes Basque specialities such as Txakoli, a slightly sparkling white wine, natural Basque cider “sidra” and Patxaran (a sloe-flavoured liqueur from Navarra).

Donostia has seating for 40 with a long tapas style bar surrounding an open kitchen. The Head Chef is Tomasz Baranski who formerly ran the kitchen at the highly acclaimed Barrafina in Soho.
