Scala is a beautiful multi-purpose venue in the regenerated King’s Cross area, on the north side of central London. The building incorporates four main floors and accommodates events for as many as 1,000 people. There are three bars, 2 dance floors and a stage for live performances. There is a cloakroom on the first floor.
Scala has a new small outdoor courtyard to accomodate up to 25 smokers. You´ll find the entrance to this courtyard through the doors on the left of the main stage.
The Scala hosts regular weekend club nights but is also a very popular venue for live music on week nights. Scala’s history of live music shows include Cold pay, Foo Fighters, Moby, Super Furry Animals, Chemical Brothers, Kruder & Dorfmeister The Doves, Dido, Outkast, Lionel Ritchie, Stereophonics, Sophie Ellis Bexter, Suede, Gomez, Elbow, Robbie Williams, The Rapture, Hanoi Rocks, Kelis, Kosheen, Chicane, The Scissors Sisters and Joss Stone.

“Scala is one of most favourite venues in London. Lovely and intimate and great sound system. Saw Atlas Sound on the 19th July and loved every minute of it. Bradford Cox was on cracking form and delighted us with a reportoire of sheer brilliance. He is a genius!”

“NASTY! There is only one word to describe this place on saturday nights and that's NASTY.
CROWD: Young university crowd. If you're into hip hop dancing and a crowd that knows how to shake their stuff - FORGET IT.
VENUE: Big venue, big spacious rooms, small podium and stage
MUSIC: Mostly commerical hip hop r'n'b - but good luck in getting the DJ to play any requests
RATIO: 70% boys, 30% chics
VERDICT: Such a shame to waste a good sized venue”
