“An awful excuse of a 'club'. Entered at around 1 in the morning only to find myself greeted by around 10 other glum looking faces. The atmosphere was shocking and the staff seemed uninterested and seemed reluctant in giving my required double JD and coke. The music was shabby and reminded me of a simpler time. In the future I will choose to go to another club that will make me feel good. The main positive that I can take from this 'club' is the cool and sassy name. Overall, a pleasant experience. I will not be returning.
Yours truly,
The Barracuda”

“Went there on a friday night with the missus and arrived at 00:15. Entry fee is cheap 7 for guys 5 for ladies, music was good and overall good ratio of girls to guys. No fights, although i can imagine that if you go here regualarly you will see idiots trying to be bad boys. Overall good”

“Staff on the door told us to queue, then decided to take offense to my friend and told us we couldn't come in because his footwear was "s**t"!”

“Let's be honest, back in the day this place was pants, but I have recently gone back there on a saturday as we wanted a late drink, and it was awesome.
Since new management have taken over, u can see the change, the atmosphere is there, the staff are friendly, and the music was good, a good mix of everyrhing.
this seems to be place to be in ealing, its open till late and u can buy booze till 3.30.
If these guys do what they are doing then this will be Ealings best bar/club.”

“Me and a few of my mates heard that this place had recently been taken over by new young management and thought we'd check it out. We have since been coming here every Tuesday and Friday nights. The atmosphere is excellent, everyone out to have a good time and there's always different DJ's so the music is good, i mean they had Mighty Mo from Heartless crew here on Xmas eve! Drinks are very reasonable and cheaper than the other clubs nearby. Drinks promotions such as buy 1 get 1 free until 11:30pm and various £2 drink offers all night definitley make this place value for money. I mean some of these prices are cheaper than bars/pubs during the day let alone for a night club. Open till 4am and bar serving till later than any other place in Ealing that i know of means you can party for longer getting more for your money. I use to go to Priory but since this place has re-opened and for as long as the new management keep doing what they are i'll pick Barracuda over any other night club in Ealing.”

“This place wad called Barracuda back in the day then it got changed to "Bar Eight" and from here it went downhill! Read the previous posts please (there is no point in me repeating lol) I have NOT only been here once or twice, I have given this place a good chance and enough time to build themselves up but honestly it gets worse and worse. I went last night and the name has been changed back to 'Barracuda' The place was full of drunk or miserable unfriendly indian folk. Wonder why? Because the rubbish indian boys who were meant to be the dj's, played indian, bhangra music or they mixed every other cool reggae, hip hop song with a fast dance beat and ruined the sound! There was no flow! This went in allllll night! A d.j that shouts out "twist the light bulbs" every 2 seconds is a joke and the poor sods that actually follow his instruction....HAHAHAHA! I seriously wish I had taken the name of the dj's to name and shame them right here...Yes it was that bad!!! Wait till priory is fully refurbished and the downstairs is also open, this should be sometime in January 2011. :-D This place has atmosphere, decent cool friendly people. check it out people and don't bother with Barracuda / bar eight / whatever nonsense they name it, u all know the building!”

“The DJ didnt play one song till the end and decided he wanted to shout with an echo effect over the whole thing. 3 quid to get in i think is the hugest rip off seen as it is always empty, bar staff are unreliable, drink prices are over the top, management are rude and the music is terrible along with a terrible DJ this place isnt worth paying a penny to get into!”

“Shut this place down please. They have changed the name and done some cheap decorating, its a shame they couldn't get rid of the management/owner of the place. Random prices, watered down drinks, rubbish staff in the bar and on the door, JOKE.”

“I went here last Friday after not having been there for months. Having enjoyed it in the past with friends we thought we'd have a local night out and go somewhere cheap and cheerful. Unfortunately they only had one person behind the bar all evening and that was the woman who owns the place, she was stroppy as anything and people were getting really ratty having to wait so long and she had no clue as to who was waiting before others. I won't be going back there for a while and neither will my mates. Why can't they afford to pay staff? She kept saying 2 people called in sick. So why would you only have 3 bar staff on a Friday night in a nightclub? As usual the DJ played the same old records time and time again and had no mic so couldn't wish anyone a happy birthday! 3 bouncers at the door doing practically nothing all evening apart from telling folk where to smoke, i.e. "you can't smoke here, go over there" like the gestapo, it aint 1st July yet boys! ”

“I've been to this club on and off for years, yes, the owner can be a bit of a grouch (the wife, not the hubby) and wears bizarre clothes that went out of fashion erm, well actually they were never in fashion but she's rarely there these days! The bouncers just do their job, the same as any other bouncers at the Ealing clubs and I've been to them all. I keep returning to Barracuda cos the age group of the customers is mixed, the music caters to all tastes, you can sit and chill and chat near the entrance or on comfy sofas or dance your night away as you please. Yeah it could do with a lick of paint but the bar staff are efficient and generally cheerful (more so in the last few years than before) but the drinks are reasonably priced and contrary to what I've read elsewhere about this place, bottled water is only a quid a bottle! Free entry for women before 10.30 which I've taken advantage of many a time when out on girly nights! Try it out on a Friday or Saturday, you might want to go back!”

“ok i recently went into bar barracuda and have to say that although the place needs refurbishing i had an awesome night, there is a got a funky new mixed race happy bar maid who is fine fine fine, the doormen were lovely and the dj is damn fine i mean i like my funky r'n'b dj white boy and he is just that. so yeah all i want to say is people you should just give the place a try again it's worth it on a saturday or sunday. this place is clearly back on the up and coming short list.”

“Jokes place, from the over the top bouncers to the surley owner lady in the PJ''s.
Booze is well over priced!
They don''t take cards.
On a week night they charge £3 to get in after 11:30 and on weekends it can be as much as £7.
The larger can be rank on occasion and the wine is about £12ish for a bottle, which is their cheapest.
They say its no trainners but being with girls can get you around this.
The music is RnB and Hip Hop.
The customers range from cool people out for a late drink to boozed up wanna be casanova''s who think they are the coolest dudes in the world.
I once saw a Michael Jackson impersonator in there who was taking it all so seriously! That says a lot about the place really.
I only go there because i''m too lazy to go up town sometimes and too much of an alcoholic to go home after closing!”
