“I visted London and a friend took me to the Crown. I admired the service, fast and consciuos. I have decided to open a similar business here in my Country Cameroon providing same services and I am pleased to name the business THE CROWN. I wll be happy to hear the opinion of The Crown (London) on this. I will be learning and transfering knowledge to my African friends on my experience at the Crown London.”

“The worst service I have ever experienced. A sandwich took 45 minutes to arrive and had to be chased. It was cheese! The bar staff are incompetent. Lord knows what kind of a system is going on in the kitchen but its dreadful. The people I was with got their foods at vastly different times so we could not eat together, I have given this pub many chances and every time they get it wrong. I will not eat here again, which is a shame as the food is rather good.”

“After eating very good food at the Crown on a few previous occasions, the events of my recent visit are especially disappointing. I ordered at the bar Starters and Mains. These were delivered together. When I said that I didn't wish to receive these together I was accosted by a very loud bullish manager who insisted that his wife who had served me had not got it wrong. He stated that their policy is unless you specify, you will get all food delivered together! I was then re-served with my Mains Course re-heated and only lukewarm. By this stage we had given up complaining as we were dealt with very rudely and loudly which was very embarrasing. I would recommend that anyone attempting to order food here makes it very clear that they don't want their starters, mains and desserts to all arrive together!”

“I took a couple of clients here for a pub lunch and was very embarrassed when i went to the bar to get them their drinks and didn't manage to get back to the table until 30 minutes later as the service was so slow. The food took a good half an hour to arrive too and no apologise were offered. The bar man was incredibly rude and despite the fact that there were clearly loads of people waiting to be served, he was painfully slow at everything he did. I won't come here again.”

“The pub itself is very good but our lunchtime visit was marred by the poor service - they didn''t have that pub lunch staple; burger and chips for a start. And we arrived early. An order of 4 lunches delivered separately over 20 minutes is unacceptable and no aplogies were offered to compensate just a waiter who seemed to find the whole thing amusing by cracking unecessary quips about -ho ho ho- can''t remembered what you ordered!!!. Stick to the beer the food''s not worth it.”

“The food was very good. Well worth the wait - but what a wait. I do not advise you going there if you have a strict lunch HOUR. It was easily 45 minutes before we received our food and that was one at a time.....mine appearing 15 minutes after the first plate arrived. The staff offered condiments with the meal but an apology for the delay and shocking service would have been more palatable.”
