London’s trail of hidden independent cocktail bars has an adventurous new landmark. Shaker & Company has just opened [end of October 2011] and is a rare rendezvous at the point where W1 meets Camden. Call it a New Orleans-inspired cocktail saloon or a convivial craft neighbourhood bar – as you wish. Crafted cocktails, artisan beer and a line-up of music and performance talent come together in a discreetly loungy, retro setting.

Shaker & Company is first and foremost an excellent bar with an easy-going ambience. Explore further and your senses will be sharpened by its quest to share the best spirits and indulge you in the newest discoveries. Behind the bar are passionate bartenders who live and breath the world of cocktails.

Meticulously trained by the Shaker BarSchool, they will welcome you with attentively served drinks that will be spot-on whatever your mood is. Prices at around £7.50 will please the regulars. You will want to return to enjoy the full sensory experience of drinking through the categories of spirits, liqueurs and cocktails. Happy Hour is from 5pm-7pm Monday-Thursday and Saturdays 5pm-8pm.

Step downstairs to reach the tasting room - the inner sanctum. It comes to life with a regular roster of entertainment and supreme drinksmanship from guest brands and artisan rarities.
