Plan B Description
Plan B is featured in these Guides:
*Images are of second room only (available for private hire)
With an exciting new music programme and creative team behind its new look and identity, including Kate Moross (one of London's most exciting young creatives, and Art Director of We Are Iso), as well as Simian Mobile Disco lighting designer David Cohen, Plan B now features a huge Funktion 1 sound system, increased capacity and 24 hour licence.
With a stripped back, warehouse-style interior that lends itself to a top of the range sound system and after-hours partying, we have drafted in a tight collective of some of London's most exciting new music promoters to present a more eclectic and diverse range of late night party offerings.
The venue offers concessions lists for certain events, area reservations and the private hire of the main room and/or the second room for smaller functions....read more

“Went here on Saturday night after going the Brixton Academy. The queue was huge so we thought everyone must be here for a reason. Thank god we were right. Amazing atmosphere, and the DJ was absolutely brilliant, really keeping the crowd jumping. Will definitely go again for a big night out.”

“This is my idea of what a great club should be like. Yes Fabric is amazing, but if you lose your friends it can take all night to find them again. Plan B is just the right size that the atmosphere can be amazing, but you are still never far from your friends/the bar/the loo. The DJ lineups are amazing and the bass shakes your ribcage. Awesome.”

“Plan B is my Plan A. I love the place - first class cocktails, professional barmen, GREAT funky grooves, keeps my feet moving all night long! And also, it's a good sized space for both dancing and chilling, never over-crowded and zero attitude. ”

“If Carling were to produce a club - it would be a club like this - great venue, fantastic tunes and such a friendly crowd - well worth visiting!”

“A very cool spot and definitely one of the best places in the area. Far better than the dross of Clapham High St. I've had some really good nights in here. The venue is stylish, nice crowd and friendly bouncers and staff. The only downside is the sometimes long queues to get in and to get served at the bar. Having said that, the drinks are good. Worth travelling to Brixton for.

“What can I say! This bar is single handedly putting Brixton on the map and Clapham to shame. Late, late licence means dancing into the small hours is no longer just for cheesey quavers and the great Sunday party - Glorious - is a real find for lovers of quality tunes. And the Sundays are free!
Cocktails are served with panache by friendly informative staff... What a breath of fresh air!”

“This place is fast becoming a regular haunt for me. Its one of those places you just keep ending up in. Sure it gets a bit packed and loud on a Saturday night, but every time I've been I've had a great time and end up being carried out of there by me mates... Great vibe, good looking people (especially the girls)and decent music to.”

“I had looked forward to going to Plan B for some time since I (along with others) are disillusioned by the stamina needed for our locals, namely the Sand Bar and the White House. Maybe hitting our late 20's takes the shine off the prospect of wearing thermals and taking a flask out on a Friday night in order to spend more time checking out the pavement in Clapham than the latest cocktails. So Plan B seemed to be the perfect antidote. I couldn't have been more wrong. Due to work I arrived on my own. I queued alongside 2 or 3 other people kept waiting outside even though we could see the bar was half-empty. I waited for 5 minutes and as I was late, thought I'd better check that my friends were still inside. My mobile was out of battery so I asked the door man if I could go and check (I offered to leave my mobile to ensure I came back). I was told "no". No explanation, just "no". I explained I was on my own. Eventually I was told I could go and check but I had to pay the entrance fee and it wasn't refundable if they weren't there. Maybe this is standard policy but the phrase "pay up or F**** off" surely can't have been? At this point I felt that, however great the decor and service inside, it couldn't be worth the abuse and humiliation suffered at the door - so I did just that. And just incase I was a little unclear about his position, the doorman shouted after me "p*** off white bitch!". Quel surprise then to find out that the White House, Sand Bar and Plan B hire from the same door staff company and are all part of the same "evil triumvirate".
It's not all bad though because I now know not to waste time and dignity by going back there. And recently, as we have moved our socialising (and cash) to more central bars, it seems that there is some weird new order taking place. You'd think that local, non-West-End bars like Plan B would be more relaxed and keen to woo customers. Obviously not so since we have been treated like V VIP's at Sketch, Canvas, Isola and the Townhouse, Moral of the story: try to avoid bars who think that "service offering" and "client relationships" are cocktails.”
