Perfectly located next door to the Globe theatre and only a few steps from the Tate Modern, The Real Greek Souvlaki & Bar Bankside is in an ideal spot for any occasion. Serving the authentic mezedes and souvlaki, with the addition of delicious bread and Greek pastries, the venue has plenty to offer for both business and pleasure.
The Real Greek Souvlaki & Bar seats up to 250 covers. They can accommodate parties of any size: dinners, cocktail and drinks parties, business breakfasts or even a private hire of the enitre venue.
Menu prices start at £10.00 per head. If you’re planning a drinks reception, they can shake fabulous cocktails from their tailor-made list, or offer you imported lager and frozen ouzo mojitos on tap.

“Taking the family for a meal can be difficult as 2 of the gang are veggie. The Real Greek has a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, and there are plenty of dishes to suit fussy eaters. The small dishes stacked up are great fun - we'll be back!”

“My partner and I went for a meal here this evening. Staff were pleasant and the ambience was also very nice. Ordered a range of cold and hod starters as well as some souvlaki. We waited 45 minutes for the cold starters and a further 15 minutes for the hot starters. The hot prawn starter was very cold and was sent back. As was the fried squid. The Souvlaki was warn enough but by this time we were very disappointed, not to mention hungry.
Service was poor and all we were told was that the kitchen was slow today! How long does it take to lace some humous on a plate and warm up some flat bread? Very disappointing and not somewhere we'll be eating again. There are many other better served restaurants to visit!”

“Ate at Real Greek last night, beautiful setting, sardine meze were excellent. Souvlaki however were totally inedible, luke warm, bad sauce and soggy flat bread. Our opinion changed in seconds, wont recommend.”

“This Monday, Bank holiday (13.04.09) my partner and myself were both attracted to the very large sign outside Real Greek advertising their "EVERY MONDAY IS £2 MEZE DAY". It was a Monday so we assumed that we would get the offer. The bill arrived and when we queried the price we were taken to the blackboard and there in minuscule writing was a disclaimer: Except for Bank holidays. According to the waiter (very nice waiter by the way), this is a new offer which only went up on today!! My irritation is towards businesses who take consumers for fools and expect consumers to query offers made to them while they take no accountability for their deceitful way of conning customers in. Come on Real Greek! Where's your integrity?!”

“My wife, my little daughter and I stopped to dine at The Real Greek on a Sunday afternoon. We thought, it was a good idea, having eaten there before, which to be honest wasn’t that bad.
This time, however, it was a very different experience altogether. We waited for more than half an hour to be served our food, only to discover that our food was cold. We point out to our waiter who was rather kind; he took the souvlakis back to the kitchen. In five minutes, we had our food back, but unfortunately the food was just microwaived. We have never eaten such insipid suvlakis. Souvlakis at The Real Greek were far from the quality of the traditional Greek ones in Greece. The chips we had were also too salty and half of them were burned bits.
We were surprised by the fact that they had not bothered to improve on the quality of food and the service, especially during the recession times we are going through. Some restaurants unquestionably do not seem to change. We vowed never to eat there again.”

“By far the best Greek restaurant in London at the moment. Having been told by a friend to check it out and I wasn't disappointed! Took a group of mates and piged out on their delicious selection of meze and kebabs, and the good thing was their Happy hour lasted till 7.30!! So plenty of jugs of greek beer! (oh my head) Service was very good and atmo was lively, especially for a thursday night! would recommend anyone to go and will defo be back for more!! ”
