“I reserved a room at the exhibit for a private party not too long ago as Balham was quite an accessible place for people to get to. I managed to get a room on the top floor, which had a huge balcony and very well stocked bar. Ended up having a great turn out and lots of people commented on how good the venue was. The staff were really helpful in the whole process, playing great guests behind the bar and helping me in organising the event. We spotted that The Exhibit even had its own cinema which we had try to out. Lots of comfy sofas and a great screen where you could enjoy drinks aplenty from the bar. A definite 10/10 venue!”

“The French House has long been the venue of choice for artists, actors and the varied cosmopolitan denizens of Soho. The Bohemian atmosphere was fully established by the mid 1930's when it was still known as The York Minister and only enhanced by its use by the Free French during WW2, hence is later renaming. It remains today a nearly unique survivor and reminder of a past Soho. It is a treasure and a delight, fine food and even better drink, and a never ending gallery of often famous clients. To misquote Dr Johnson "a man who is tired of The French House is tired of life"!”

“A lovely afternoon spent here for my hen celebrations. We had pre-booked the champagne afternoon tea first of all. Food was lovely and the staff were all dressed up. The sweet girls in their polka dots and the charming boys in their white tie. We were given accessories too to dress up in and had our photos taken which is wonderful as it makes the day really memorable. But one thing I have to say is that the feather boas have seen better days. Perhaps they should top up with new ones. We then had a surprise mini cocktail master class thrown in (such a nice touch) before we had a our cupcake and chocolate making class. We were actually put behind the bar and taught how to make a cocktail. How fun. A pleasant afternoon in a pleasant venue with pleasant staff. Thank you to the team”

“On my first visit to London my friend decided to plan a surprise night at The Peacock and boy was I in for a treat and a half! We started off with a 1 hour cocktail lesson where I was put behind the bar and got to make my favourite drink ever - Mojito baby! I was even taught how to flirt with one of the guys I had my eye on in the group I was with and after lots of hip wiggling and winks and of course great instruction from our professional bar tender my drinks and antics went down very well! Hehe! My lovely friend had also arranged food after our class which was a great idea after all the drinking and laid out on sharing plates which is awesome as it made it more social - especially if you're feeding bits to each other. The shows were awesome too and nothing like I'd experienced back home. The disco 80's disco later had everyone up on their feet and even though I had a sore body and head the next day this has to be one of my favourite experiences so far. I'm sooooo happy I'm now living just round the corner as I'll defiinitely be back. Happy days. Thanks guys. And a bigger thank you for getting me together with my new man.”

“We booked here for our daughters communion party in feb to be held on the 5th of may.However when we arrived at 11am to drop off the food they were not open ,come 12.30 they were stil not open,however the bar staff were waiting outside for the bar to open so we left the food with them..We arrived for the party only to be told we couldnt have the room.After repeatedly ringing the manager he could not be bothered to return our calls or tell us we couldnt have the room.However he put us in another room which a different party of people had booked for their special day,without informing or asking them.Needless to say the day was ruined.We had to stand like sardines there was not enough tables and chairs.I definitely would not reccommend anyone to have their venue here.And to add to that the prices of the drinks were way above the average you would expect to pay in Islington.”

“I came across the Mayfair Club on Thursday night, it's very discrete and we wouldn't have noticed the entrance if the queue wasn't there. It's a really nice club, small and well maintained. The girls were lovely, very pretty with great bodies. Only negative is the prices £20 entry and pretty pricey at the bar but we had a great night.”
