The Edge London Review
The range of people that frequents The Edge provides an excellent picture of the melting pot of Soho lifestyles. Though a gay bar, it certainly is not unwelcoming to straight strays, who want to see just how green the grass is on the other side. From muscle Marys to media whores they can all be found at this venue, which boasts four stories, each floor seeking to provide a different atmosphere to drink in, be it conversation, precursor to clubbing or the top floor which can, on a good night provide a club in itself.
In the summer, revellers pack the adjoining Soho Square street party style, though any time of year, it's the perfect place for Soho virgins looking to lose their cherry.

“When my friends and I arrived at the Edge for a bite to eat, we noticed a strange atmosphere. You know, the kinda one where you arrive at a friends house and it's like they had a huge row right before you entered the room. Very weird! Although very assertive, the staff seemed misserable. Yes, they did crack a smile, but the kind of smile that sends shivers down your spine (like the huge row you just walked in on!) We felt so uncomfortable here that we ate and left as quick as possible. Whatever's going on there, it ain't happy... oh the food was nice tho. ”

“This is a great place. On a good day you can sit outside on (though the tables and chairs are chained very close together, causing me on occassion to rub shoulders to the odd stranger but it's never been that bad.) or you can take your drink to Soho Sq. What I love most about this place is the fact that it is so easy going, huge and serves good food too and you absolutely have to try a smoothie, they are delicious.”
