From today, Shoreditch cocktail bar, Callooh Callay, will be doing a special ‘Mad Hatter Tea Punch’ for the month of March which will be served in Mad Hatter Teapots using Hendricks gin, Battersea Quinine Cordial, cranberry, orange and home-made mixed spice served with Hot Cross Buns for £30.
Inspired by the nonsensical poem ‘Jabberwocky’ by Lewis Carroll, Callooh Callay originally featured as part of his novel ‘Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There (1871)’. True to its namesake, Callooh Callay takes its guests on a journey into a fun and eclectic world.
Callooh Callay is a mad hatter’s assortment of top-flight London bar talent from director Richard Wynne (former manager of Loungelover), and expert events coordinator, Kate Crutchley.
