Bluebird Restaurant & Club London Description
Bluebird has been completely rebuilt to become one of the grand épiceries of the world with a restaurant, bar, cafe, club, flower market, foodstore and cook shop. As a young man, Terence Conran was mesmerised by the bursting colours, tantalising smells and bustling atmosphere of the markets of France and Italy. The King's Road Gastrodrome is his childhood memory bought to life in the heart of London.
Split into two distinct areas, the 190 seater restaurant offers an array of seating possibilities, from an intmate banquette table overlooking the King's Road, to a larger round.
Guests enjoy an eclectic mix of modern British food all of which is prepared in full view from the glass walled kitchen or the granite and steel crusteacea bar. The restaurant also has an extensive wine list with a diverse selection of international wines, many of which are perfect for drinking on their own, with others ideally complimenting and accentuating the flavours from the dishes on the a la carte menu.
Bluebird Bar offers contemporary twists on classic cocktails, distinctive combinations and flavours, traditional tipples and no less than twenty two vodkas, eight gins, nine rums and thirty four whiskies along with an extensive array of spirits, liquors, wines and champagnes. The food menu in the bar offers a diverse choice of light snacks all the way to a plateau de fruits de mer with lobster to share. Both the food menu and drinks list change seasonally.
With its large open floor space, with clusters of low level seating and leather window booths overlooking the King’s Road, Bluebird Bar offers a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere on the weekdays and an electric vibe on the weekends.
The bustling Bluebird Café is a popular Chelsea pit-stop. Situated at street level on the King’s Road, the café is a great place to watch the world go by over mid morning coffee, to recharge with a glass of wine after a hectic day of shopping or a place to catch up with friends.
Boasting the largest al fresco terrace in Chelsea, the summer months see diners take full advantage of the sunshine. The forecourt barbecue provides the focal point during the summer, preparing dishes using the freshest ingredients on offer, ranging from fresh seafood to quality cuts of meat from the market.

“I have to agree with Mr W - no idea what the other review (2 years old?) are on about. The bar on a Saturday night was as good as it gets - great buzz, great drinks and great time. We ate in the bar, just some nibbles, but it was the perfect accompaniement to some great cocktails. Cant wait for next weekend to go back.”

“I don't know what the other reviews are talking about, but our night out at the Bluebird was fantastic. Started with cocktails in the bar. Seriously good, best I've had in a long time. Great service too. The buzz on a Thursday was excellent, with dinner to follow in the adjoining restaurant. Food was good too, conventional British fare. Didn't blow me away, but still very enjoyable. Back to the bar for a last drink was the highlight of a great evening.”

“Very disappointing. Oily veg and potatoes. Very tough steak and lamb even the medium rare was tough. I couldn't cut it with a steak knife (which I had to ask for).
Shockingly limp celery and brown apple on the cheese board. Can't believe any decent chef would let a dish leave his kitchen with brown apple slices.
Slow and aloof service. Took 20 minutes to get a drink and it only arrived after we'd asked for it again. My friend was also dismissed for asking where the toilets were, which were not up to the standard of the main restaurant by the way.
Questionable presentation on the chocolate dessert, I won't go into what it looked like but you can get the idea!
The best part was the truffles that were supposed to come with the coffee but they were served after we'd finished our drinks and only because we asked where they were.
Will definitely not be returning and would not recommend this to anyone.”

“A really joke as when we called to make a reservation they told us that they do not serve brunch. ”
